Step 2: Prepare GoldWave
Unless you plan to edit your song, the selector, markers, and playback console will be the only tools you'll need to use in GoldWave. Our goal now is to find the exact points at which a coherent beat starts and ends, and then find out exactly how long that portion of the song is, down to the millisecond. As pictured, change the "time" portion of the status bar to show the total number of seconds currently selected.
