Session Start: Sat Dec 22 00:42:18 2001 *** GMAmy changes topic to 'Grandia: New Horizons | Chapter 11.1: Mitsuo and Jalanda | Location: The Sweet Revenge, Narrow Sea, early morning, June 20 | Lude Start' ==Session Start== The party separates into various groups to relax and chat. Jalanda has headed down into the hold to claim a cabin for herself and to relax a bit... Belowdecks it is quiet, aside from the occasional THWOK as Lily loses her patience with someone in the galley. ^_^ * Mitsuo knocks softly on Jalanda's door. * Jalanda happens to be changing at the moment, slipping into an unmarred, fine silk robe, accented by african violets upon it. Thus garbed, she opens the cabin door... * Mitsuo stands outside, also looking a bit cleaned up. He nods to Jalanda, "You wanted to talk to me earlier? Is something wrong?" Ah, Mitsuo. No, nothing is wrong... however... ...However? * Mitsuo walks inside the room, confused. * Jalanda ushers him in, shutting the door behind him, she pushes some of her brown hair to the side, neatening it and assuming a professional air. Earlier, upon the ship, I sensed a linegring presence... Presence? Of what? It is something connected to the Spirits, I am sure. And it seems to be following... no, perhaps... radiating from you. * Mitsuo 's face blanks, and he blinks a lot, "...The spirits? Me?...That...makes no sense." * Jalanda has a seat in a rudimentary chair. "It's only started since the time we were imprisoned." The time we were imprisoned...Hmmm... I wonder... In fact, now that I recall.. You came into the possession of a precious stone, didn't you? Yes, I did... * Mitsuo rummages through his pack, pulling out the stone Syri found, "I've felt strange vibes from it since I found it. Rion has too." * Jalanda gazes at the stone intently... Jalanda feels the power of the Spirits in this stone, though the only way in which it responds to her scrutiny is that faint resonance. There is definitely energy in this, but it is not what is causing this to occur, it is merely responding... It is a little shard, only about two or three inches long, and it glows very faintly green. * Jalanda puts a hands to her chin. "It is peculiar indeed. Something about you, Mitsuo... you have a great synergy with this gem." ...I wonder why? I mean...I know a little magic...but so do many people...so that can't be it... It'd help if I knew what this gem was, exactly... * Jalanda sighs quietly. "I cannot say with clarity, but I have my suspicions..." What do you think they are? I mean...I'm not really sure where I come from, exactly...and if I'm close to a lead here.... Perhaps there's something about myself I'm not aware of...Or this thing could be broken. ^^; * Mitsuo shakes the gem a little. The glow just pulses a bit, faintly. You do recall the Spirits speaking through me before... Yeah, I remember... There is an identity you seek, a past life or purpose that has yet to be revealed. This may be a sign of it coming closer to realization. A past...life? * Mitsuo looks down at the stone for a moment, "Grandpa didn't tell me when he found me...Just that I was an orphan in Zil Padon...He assumed my parents died in the Gaia attack." But it was all assumption. * Mitsuo sighs. * Jalanda looks aside. "Time has apparently decreed a great responsibiltiy for you, or so They have said..." She turns back. "...but you have to know what to believe and what not to." I suppose only experience'll show me the way. I just wish I knew what this responsiblity was... I wish I could tell you more. But after your actions recently, I have confidence in your abilities. * Jalanda lets out a bit of a chuckle. "You certainly knocked those guards out rather well, I must say." * Mitsuo looks a touch humbled, "...^^; I got lucky, Jalanda. To be honest, that could have ened up very badly...But I'm glad everything ended up okay. I just got angry seeing Gantz treat everyone that way, you know? It was hard not to lose my temper as much as Gantz seemed to." But you did, and prevailed. I am gald you handled it well this time... for I was concerned you were going to overreach yourself at the Summit in this fashion. with a much less healthy end. * Mitsuo nods, "I know you were...I just hate being a third wheel. Grandpa always told me to try your best at everything you do...not to keep anyone back. I felt for a while that I was..." * Jalanda gestures outward. "You are part of a bigger whole now Mitsuo, an integral part. Never feel this way, or it will certainly take you down that path. You must be strong for everyone, and thereby be strong for yourself. You have that nobility deep down, when you exercise it properly." * Mitsuo smiles, "Thanks a lot, Jalanda. I'll keep your words in mind. You're a huge part to our group as well, you know." * Jalanda closes her eyes a moment. "I now know that I have a fate that is just as intertwined..." Admittantly, I was merely following you before because of the signs... Signs? * Jalanda nods. "Yes, Mitsuo. I had a vision of those that would have a profound impact upon the destiny of the world. A star falling towards Messina... and a gathering of bright ones. Those who may change fate. It is something that I left my home behind to see... because you would help me find my own path as well. * Mitsuo nods, "...Do you think our mission is that important? Has that much impact?" * Jalanda stares across the room, recalling the words of the the tablet. "The prophecy we found in the Temple..." * Mitsuo frowns, "...You mean...?" I do not know with clarity, but I feel as if we may be those who shall rise to claim the future. It is certainly possible, with what I feel from you all. That's...quite a responsiblity... But only time will tell if this is a mere intuition or not... and the Dimension orbs are not our goals yet, with Justin and Feena still missing. Small steps to the bigger road forward. * Jalanda shakes her head. "I am worried they are masked by a great power, Mitsuo. You as much as anyone need to be cautious." * Mitsuo blinks, "What do you mean?" Well... I have forseen locations of people and places with accuracy before. You've seen this when we encountered the Temple clergy during Erellisae's abduction... That's right. However, try as I might, I cannot divine much about whom we seek. It is frustrating, but also ominous. I have not met with such an occurance yet. So we're almost flying blind, as it were... * Jalanda nods. "So to speak. All I can say is that they do not lie in the same place, for their paths have diverged... but otherwise I have been powerless to point the way." You may still be able to, Jalanda. Many answers aren't so easy to find...that doesn't mean we should stop looking. * Jalanda smiles faintly. "Now, now. It has been my lot in life to be the one who looks into what will come. I do not give up so easily." * Mitsuo smiles, "I'm glad. ^_^" I am sure that more than just two heroes of yore lie at the end of this journey... * Mitsuo looks down at the gem shard still in his hand, "Maybe you're right." We'll just have to wait and see for now, I suppose. * Jalanda folds her hands, one pale and one vibrant, over each other. "I have waited for years. I will continue to." * Mitsuo smiles, "I should head back up top...is there anything you need before I go?" No, I believe I've found the answer I sought. I will ponder this some more to return the favor, perhaps. All right, Jalanda. ^^ Have a good afternoon...and I shall see you later. * Mitsuo smiles once more, and heads out, gently closing the door behind him. * Jalanda sits on the side of the cot in the room, tilting her head to watch him go. She quietly muses, "...birds, again I see them..." ==Session End== Session Close: Sat Dec 22 01:56:01 2001
