Session Start: Fri Dec 28 19:45:50 2001 *** GMAmy changes topic to 'Grandia: New Horizons | Chapter 11.2: Triun and Nathan | Location: The Sweet Revenge, Narrow Sea, morning, June 20 | Lude Start' ==Session Start== The Sweet Revenge ploughs through the sea at a merry rate; the sun is shining on the ship's sails, and those of the two other ships recently captured, which follow along behind them, commanded by members of Lily's crew. The members of the party are scattered about the ship, enjoying a few moments of relaxation for the time being... * Nathan leans once again against the prow of the ship, enjoying the feel of the sea air on his face ^_^ * Triun wanders out onto the deck, a grin on her face as she tilts her face to the sky, the wind ruffling her silverish hair. She looks almost young again, except for the stoop of her shoulders. * Triun turns and notices Nathan and her grin gets even wider... ; Hey! Soldier! Need some strong arms to keep you from falling off deck? ^_- * Nathan turns around, "Hey there. Nah, I got two good ones I'd hate to see go to waste." ^_- * Triun goodnaturedly wanders up beside Nathan, peering out over the rail. "See anything worth seeing? My eyes aren't as great as they used to be." Let's see...I see sky, and water, and sea, and the occasional hallucination ^_- Hallucination? Tsk. Have you been hitting the drink like that woman was? Mi...Mikari, was it? I don't need no hooch! I can hallucinate on my own ^_^ * Triun chuckles and shakes her head. "So what do you see, young man?" ^^ * Nathan thinks for a bit before responding I see everything that I grew up with. Lots of memories in these waves. The sounds, the smells, the feel. Its all here Hmmnnn.....so you grew up on a ship, huh? Must be where you developed such fine legs. ^_- Not really, but I've had experience with ships in the past So I'm used to them now ^_^ I did more swimming that boating as a kid That's why my physique is what it is ^_- Well, that sets it then. ^_- I must have you for myself. I respect a decent pair of legs. * Nathan laughs! Now I see where your daughter gets it ^_- Ahh...taking after her mom, I see? Flirting with all the men? That's good. I always encouraged her to keep an open mind...of course, I'd prefer she'd settle down with a nice man like Dylan...she's much like I was at her age...much more prone to trouble. ^^; Nah, she can take good care of herself. I've seen it. * Triun pauses at that and turns to regard Nathan, a bit of concern in her eyes. "Can she truly? Has she been well?" * Nathan seems a little puzzled at the sudden change of conversation Well sure. She's been handling herself quite well. I don't see much need for concern Do you? * Triun 's demeanor has changed slightly, to something more serious. She chews her bottom lip for a moment. "I suppose not. If you say she has been alright, then I suppose that's all I need to hear. Though I would like to know what exactly you hooligans have been doing with my daughter!" * Triun 's face relaxes and she grins. * Nathan raises an eyebrow That bit had something to do with what's on her arm, didn't it? Ah, not really. She told you of her arm, then? Something like that Is there something we need to know? Oh no no. She is fine. You said so yourself. ^^ I am merely just concerned for her, being so far away and so forth. She is a bit of a hardhead and will not tell her mother of how she truly feels. * Nathan 's eyebrow raises further So tell me, my dear handsome boy, of your follies with my daughter and the rest of her friends.. ^^ Don't leave anything out! I wish to know the gory details! Heh, as you wish ^_^ Let's see...where shall I start? Where it begins, of course. ^_- Well, all I can start with is where I showed up Then begin there! I shall have to pry the rest from some other poor soul... ;) * Triun hops up onto the rail, sitting on it, looking interestedly at Nathan.. ^^ Well, I ran into everyone at one of the shops, and then the group decided to include me in their little quest, whether I wanted to or not Fortunately, I did ^_^ So we all hopped into Mikari's plane after making our preparations, and we flew off across the sea * Triun raises both eyebrows at that, her right one pierced in five places. ^^ Have you ever flown before? Interesting experience to say the least No, I've done most of my travel by foot, actually. How did Feray find that? She used to ask me such questions when she was little about the birds and how they flew.. I think she enjoyed it more than I did * Triun grins, pride in her eyes.. ^^ "Good, good..." So we arrived at the city of the grand Council, and we sat down to make our points to the Council along with Sue * Triun looks amused at that and wrings her hands.. A bunch of us said some things, and then we all broke for a recess Oh! I forgot to mention how most of us got poisoned, but that turned out all right and no one died * Triun blinks and leans forward. "Poisoned?" Yeah, some nutjob with the Church didn't want Sue to give her testamony and sent us poisoned wine Fortunately, we had some very level-headed people So all was well ^_^ Did you find the origin of the poison? I hope you managed to get some sort of revenge. Well, not really. We never did find out exactly who did it * Triun frowns, her expression serious once more. "Terrible...but you're all okay. That's the main thing." Indeed ^_^ So anyways, we all gathered ourselves up and got ready to move out again, since our business was completed at that point with the council We made for the docks and got passage on a ship, and we were off once again ^_^ And then, we got attacked by pirates! :o And we got catured too Ahh yes...that would be how we came across you.. ^_- * Triun nods slightly.. Yep ^_^ * Triun seems a little distracted but smiles widely at Nathan. "My dear boy, it sounds as if you've all been on quite the journey so far..." Its been a unique experience so far :) Perhaps my daughter's luck will lead you into even more interesting, if not safer conditions.. ^_- Ha! We'll see. This group seems to attract trouble ^_^ * Triun hops off the railing, nimble despite her age. "Ah...to be young and on the road again...adventuring!" It has its moments. But there are times where I would like to be home again :) Of course, my dear boy...but take the advice of the fabled Triun The Wanderer... ^^ You'll be missing these days when it aches to wake in the morning and aches to go to bed at night...so best not to let the longing to be home cloud your vision.. ^^ I'll try to keep that in mind :) Now....I believe I've taken up most of your time.... This is the way!== The time on the ship has passed as it is wont to do, and lunchtime has come and gone. Our heroes have once again scattered. * Nathan wanders belowdecks, having already had his fill ^_^ >> Triun is seen retreating from a doorway, muttering under her breath and shaking her head. She heads away from Nate, not seeing him, and heads up towards the decks through another passage. * Nathan blinks as Triun retreats, wondering what that's all about * Nathan stops by the door Triun just left, acting on a hunch, and knocks lightly No, mother, I do not need some herbal mix! Agh, can't you just go and flirt with some cabin boys or something?! * Feray grumbles, obviously believing Nate to be her mother. ;) Are you sure? I could make some chai tea instead if you like ;) Er...oh. It's the beefy sailor, come to pay me a visit. Come on in. ^^; * Nathan enters the room, "Hi, I take it your mom was grilling you a bit?" * Feray is sitting on her mattress, a faintly forced smile on her face, in indian position with her back to the wall. "Grilling me? Jeez, you may as well butter me up...because I'm ready to eat." Ready for some lunch? They've got some good stuff in the galley today :) * Feray blows a strand of her hair from her eyes and slumps a little. "I guess, yeah. I should eat sometime today, before wonderwoman forces a whole buffet down my throat..." Come on, I just saw her head abovedecks. I can show you the way without going up there :) * Nathan opens the door for Feray ^_^ Great. You sure you're not luring me into the depths of the ship to have your way with me, big boy? ^_- * Feray regains some cheer and slides off the mattress, heading out of the room, brushing herself off a little.. Only if you ask nicely ^_- * Nathan leads Feray through the ship towards the galley * Feray allows Nate to take the lead, a bit more reserved than normal. "Please tell me she hasn't cornered Mitsuo and asked him his measurements or something..." Not that I know of. She did grill me for a bit this morning, but I managed to fence with her enough for her to lose interest Oh spirits. ^^; Nah, it was good practice ^_- * Feray shakes her head and then rubs her neck. Sounds fair to me ;) * Feray heads inside and looks about for a table before plunking herself down in a chair. "Oomph. Right...bring on the grub!" * Nathan prods the cook, who goes to get some things ....I suppose it would be bad for me to just order a water and a salad? That should get things going ^_^ * Nathan sits down Nah, get what you like, we'ain't payin' for it. Yet ^_- * Nathan grabs some tea * Feray chuckles and rests her chin in her palm tiredly. "I think I'll just go with that then....and hope the water isn't poisoned." ^^; Nah, we've already been poisoned this week. ^_- Yeah, next week is 'bludgeoning' week! Heh ^_^ * Nathan loses his smile as he looks down at his tea * Feray pauses, glass of water halfway to her mouth. "You alright?" Can I ask you something? * Feray blinks and lowers the glass. "Sure thing." I once asked you about your arm...and those two spots. And I got a half answer Then your mom started asking about if you were all right And I asked about them again And I got the runaround * Feray loses some of her cheeriness and resumes taking a drink, draining the glass fully. She wipes her lips with the back of the aforementioned hand. * Nathan looks back up at Feray What is it about those spots, and what happened to you that day, that's so hard to talk about? It's really not that big of a deal, Nate... Then why does it turn into an invisible 5 ton elephant when I bring it up? * Feray blinks and chuckles lowly. "Because my mother is paranoid and fear is something not dealt with easily in my family line...we try to keep it in our own house for fear of losing the respect of others and our own sense of strength." * Nathan only nods So that's why * Nathan grins again, "All right, I'll accept that and drop the subject." ^_^ * Feray gazes at Nate for a moment before she adopts a faint grin. "Heck, sailor, if you got me drunk enough, I'd tell you everything and then some! But first, you'd have to out drink me. And that's difficult!" Oh really? ^_- Oh yeah. ^_- After all, we Lainians are quite the drinkers when we want to be. ^_- I bet I could drink you under the table any day ^_- Oh reeeealy? ^_- Shall we test that theory? ^_- * Feray chomps the end off a piece of celery, a wicked grin on her lips. "Yeah, really! Wanna try me out?" I'll be right back ^_^ Great minds... ^_- Sure thing. * Nathan goes to prod the cook * Nathan returns with two shot glasses and a bottle of clear liquid ^_^ Ooh... this should be fun.. ;) * Nathan sits back down and pushes a glass in front of Feray ;) So, shall we begin? ^_^ * Feray lifts the glass to rest it on the back of her tattooed hand, waiting with a sly grin. "I hope you have some headache herbs ready for tomorrow for yourself....bring it on, stud." ;) I'll save a few for you ^_- * Nathan pours two drinks Bottoms up ^_^ * Feray licks her lips in anticipation and then raises her hand, the glass settled flat on the back of her hand and not even wiggling. She twists her hand quickly and presses the glass to her mouth, chugging the liquid down using the back of her hand. * Feray twists the glass quickly away, empty, and slams it down. ^^ * Nathan drops back his own glass, and does the same Again? ^_^ * Feray grins wolfishly. "Not bad for a drink....very strong. Again!" * Nathan pours two more drinks * Feray raises the glass and quickly gulps it, putting the glass down once more. ^^ * Nathan downs his own, and repeats the process What is this stuff, anyway? ^^ I should send some home with my mom.... It's vodka ^_^ * Nathan pours two more drinks * Feray downs the offered drink, making an odd purring noise. "Hah....that burns nicely." * Nathan downs his own Again? ^_^ Mmhmm. Aggain? ^_^ Heck yeah! ^^ * Nathan pours and downs another glass * Feray does as well and grins, waggling the glass at Nate. Her blush has deepened a bit. "Yer drunchh!" * Feray idly misses Nate's nose, poking his cheek. * Nathan returns the tweak, "Ha! You must be twice as sloshed, considerin' dere's two uv ya." ^_^ * Nathan pours again * Feray laughs and slumps in her chair, fumbling with her glass. "Agh...c'mere..." * Feray lifts it back once more! * Nathan downs another drink, leaning really heavily to one side Thbrbl...I fink I kin see tru time * Feray coughs a bit and giggles. "Eheheh....yoor awl shinee..." * Feray rests her forehead on the tabletop... ^^ * Nathan fumbles for the bottle, "Agin?" Nooooo!!! No moor! Yuh whon! A...a.... A whinner ish yoo! I win? Whud I win? * Nathan 's head falls to the table with a dull thud Ouchies * Feray lifts her head and bursts out laughing. "Ooghh....I d'no what'choo win.." * Nathan slides out of his chair, "Oooh, ruff seez ahed." * Feray pushes herself out of her chair, using the table to balance herself. "Onlee if yoo wannit ruff!" That'a a sayler's lif. Ruf n' tumble. Yeh * Feray giggles and shakes her head. "Nhhmm...dis ish...oogh...pretty..." * Feray falls over O_o * Nathan lies down on the floor, "Oooohg....whut say we cal dis a tie?" * Feray crawls her way to Nathan's side, giggling weakly. "Nhhmmuumm...okie dokes....I think I'hm gunna go'ta sleep now..." Gud ideer. I tink I cud use a nap too * Feray reaches out to use her hand, placing it over Nate's eyes. "Goo'night! Wakey later!" Hmm...saleep is gud ^_^ * Nathan ruffles Feray's hair playfully * Feray giggles once more sleepily and drunkenly before she nestles herself into Nathan's side, her hair fluffing out before draping over her face and obscuring it completely. "Gghhnnn..." * Feray proceeds to pass out there. ^^; * Nathan smiles once, and follows suit soon after And so, your heroes have drunk each other under the table.
