Session Start: Sun Jan 13 21:46:46 2002 *** GMAmy changes topic to 'Grandia: New Horizons | Chapter 13.1: Erellisae and Mikari | Location: Sweet Revenge, afternoon, June 22 | Lude Start' As Lily ushers everyone belowdecks to change into dry clothes, the crew sets the sails and begins to take the Sweet Revenge and its captured pirate ship to comparatively safer waters... * Erellisae remains on deck where Lily helped her up, staring out into the sea silently. * Erellisae appears to be shaking slightly as she does, not paying any attention to Lily's rounding up of the party. * Mikari has been on deck for a few minutes, drying herself out and recovering from the previous unpleasant experience. Before long, she notices Erel is still outside as well, and starts to walk towards her. * Mikari pats her hand on Erellisae's shoulder. "Hey, kid. Time to go inside. Not a lot goin' on out here." ...For the moment, anyway. * Erellisae ignores Mikari's comment, instead talking in a small voice, still staring at the sea. "Do you... I mean... That wasn't Rion, right? He was... was being controlled or something, right?" * Mikari pauses, then sighs a little. "No, Erel..." I'm 'fraid I'm pretty sure that was 'im... * Erellisae whirls round, looking a mix of perplexed and worried. "B-but... he's an adventurer, right? He's... one of our friends, right? Why would he do that...?" Eh... well... he might've been. But 'parently something else was more important to him... But... I mean.... he left us... did he lie to us..? * Erellisae turns back to the railing, sobbing slightly, her hands balled into fists on top of the railing. * Mikari stands there while Erel turns her back to her, feeling quite awkward in this situation. Due to her unfamiliarity with this, Erel is allowed to cry for a few moments before Mikari responds... .....Yes, I guess there's no way denyin' it, he did lie to us. * Erellisae deflates slightly, her fists tightening. She shakes her head slightly. "Did... he lie to us about /everything/...?" * Erellisae 's hands appear to be starting to glow a dull red. ^^; I don't know, kid. He pro'ly only lied 'bout what he needed to lie about, if he's smart. ... *notices the remants of a spell forming in Erellisae's hand, and makes sure she is not in the way.* * Erellisae snarls slightly, looking down, the glow intensifying. "... and I believed him... stupid..." ...Hey. Erel. *she responds firmly* * Erellisae stiffens, and looks back over her shoulder a little, tears running down her face. The glow in her hands abates, but only a little. He's not th'only person'll ever lie to you. Hell, I wanna wring his neck myself, but gettin' angry and throwin' fireballs at th'ocean isn't gonna change th'way things are. People lie all th'time. Some think they're right an' others don't care, but it happens all th'time. * Erellisae sighs deeply, and looks back over the sea, the glow in her hands fading and dissipating. In a meek voice, she replies, "... I know... but... I looked up to him. #4, you know...? heh... it's not fair..." Yeah, it's not fair. People'n general aren't fair, really. * Erellisae remains silent for a while, then rubs her eyes dry, before looking up at Mikari. "So... what now...? And what do we do when we find... him? I mean... he's still a friend..." * Mikari leans back and lets the breeze run through her hair as she looks at Erellisae. "Kid, even if y'think he's still a friend, doesn't mean everything's gonna be hunky-dory next time y'see him." * Erellisae leans against the railing, resting her head on her hands, staring silently off. "... we have to try, though... maybe there was a good reason..." ...Erel, why d'ya want t'defend him? He pract'ly spit in our eyes as he ran off. Well, swam, anyway. * Erellisae looks up. "Because! I mean... he's our friend, right? He was our friend... right?" Kid, kid... if it looks like you really need yer friends. But lemme tell you, real friends don't treat ya like THAT in th'first place. * Erellisae falls silent, shaking her head slightly as she thinks... * Erellisae then starts to tense again, her hands glowing as she steps back from the railing and stands up to cast a spell in earnest. * Mikari blinks, and wisely gets up from leaning on the railing. * Erellisae shouts an exasperated cry, before flinging a burnflame spell away from the boat and out to sea, crispy-frying a poor innocent piece of seaweed. She immediately follows this up with another, landing in the same area. * Erellisae staggers a little and leans heavily on the railing again, panting slightly from exerting that much magic. Damn, lucky for Rion he's not a piece of seaweed. ^_^ Steam curls and rises from the boiling patch of ocean. * Erellisae begins to breathe normally again, still staring at the patch where the spells landed. "Might not... change things. But..." ...But? Well? * Erellisae leans back, staring at the sky while hanging on the railing. She smiles, if more than a little wanly. "But it sure makes me feel better." ^^ Y'know, that's quite a temper y'got there.... it's fine t'have it, but it'd be nice if you'd use it for something a li'l more constructive'n frying the ocean. ^_- * Erellisae glances across, rolling her eyes. "Sorrrrryyy... next time I'll aim for certain people who tease me. How's that?" :D ...Ha!! *Mikari starts laughing lightly* * Erellisae giggles a little, then looks back out over the sea. She starts shivering slightly from the damp clothing, and sneezes. ><; * Mikari sweatdrops as she doesn't wear a cloak of any sort that she could put on Erel ^^; Ugh... y'know, I'm gettin' cold m'self. I think we'd better go inside. I kind of have to apologise to everyone for nearly killing them, right? ^^;; Heh... that'd be nice, yeah, but they know ya didn't mean it. Aren't any deep-sea divers in the group... uh, save Nate. ^^; * Erellisae nods, and starts to head inside, huddling up. She pauses... then blinkblinks, and cries out! o_O "Oh no!" ....?? What? o_o * Erellisae runs inside, her hands already glowing with fire magic again. "I gotta dry my diary out!
