Anyone looking in the dusty old window will see a large crowd gathered inside, and a gaping, smoking hole in the wall, leading into an adjoining cellar room. ^^; The crowd consists of quite a few samurai, one wearing oven mitts and an apron and looking bewildered from where he sits, having been knocked to the floor. The party of eight stands, ready to fight the hostile temple guards who have come to see what the fuss is about.... >> 5 Talachian Guards appear. Begin battle! ....so. I don't suppose we could work this out in a tough game of chess? ^_- ...Nah, probably not. ^_- Cool ^_^ The guard snarls at them to show what he thinks of that. * Feray snarls back, baring her pointy teeth! I guess you don't like chess? Checkers then? It appears they fear their chess skills are not sufficent to ensure victory. Grr! Grr! ^_- * Nathan slides into a combat posture :D * Feray slides her sword out of its sheath easily and drops readily into an offensive crouch. * Mikari mumbles about losing the upper hand of stealth, and prepares to fight. * Erellisae watches the guards determinedly, secreting the Talisman Jalanda handed her in the folds of her kimono as she clenches her fists. * Dylan hefts his axe thoughtfully. >> Guard 5's declaration. Prepares to cast a spell on Erellisae! * Jalanda still looks very grim, near the forefront of the guards. She is not intimidated in the slightest. They're fast... * Cassidy draws out her blade with flair, and readies to strike. * If any of you don't like the smell of hospitals, you'd better surrender now! >> Cassidy's declaration. * Cassidy starts charging towards the spellcasting samurai.. * Oh no you don't! Right...let's get this over with. I saw something in a store nearby I just need to get. ^_- * Erellisae stands fast, glaring at the soldier and slowly building a bright corona of energy around her hands. "You're not going to stop me..." * Nathan cups his hands behind him, sparks beginning to appear between them Heh * Mikari grins a little at the quick reactions of her teammates, but focusses her concern on the spellcasting samurai... >> Jalanda's declaration. * Feray shakes her head and adopts a more settled serious expression. * Jalanda lifts her pale right hand from the robes that hide it, as it begins to gather an ivory magical aura. "O, Spirits of the Arctic..." * Mikari scans the battlefield for signs of someplace to hide; in lieu of obstacles, a shadowy spot near the wall might do... >> Guard 4's declaration. Prepares to attack Nathan! >> Lily's declaration. Prepares to combo Guard 1! >> Feray's declaration. * Feray eyes Guard 5 and smirks, raising her sword and getting ready to do a combo attack. >> Mikari's declaration. * Mikari drops the idea of outmaneuvering Guard 5... she pulls her whip taught and sneaks through the shadows behind Guard 4, attempting to throw a wrench into his attack!! * Jalanda focuses on her spellcasting, though a careful eye drifts to Erellisae... >> Mitsuo's declaration. * Mitsuo balls his hand into a fist, a red aura seeping from it... >> Dylan's declaration. * Dylan starts to sway from side to side, humming a lullaby, dew seems to start to collect around him. >> Nathan's declaration. * Feray blinks as Dylan sways. * Nathan orients towards Guard 1, the ball of energy in his hands growing larger * Feray shakes her head ^^; (w to herself) ...this group freaks me out. >> Guard 1's declaration. Prepares a move, aimed at Feray! Bring it, big boy! ^_- * Mikari turns to raise an eyebrow at the spellcasting Dylan, then continues on her intended killing spree. >> Guard 2's declaration. Prepares to critical attack Cassidy! * Feray tracks Guard 5 with her eyes, muscles twitching. >> Guard 3's declaration. Prepares to combo Mikari! >> Cassidy's action! * Cassidy twirls around once, drawing the edge of the blade across the side of her opponent. Twisting the edge of the blade, she then lunges, piercing the shoulder of the Samurai before quickly wrenching it out again! * * Cassidy leaps back, bringing the blade up into a defensive position.. * >> Cassidy combos Guard 5. Hits twice! 12 damage...9 damage! >> Erellisae's declaration. * Erellisae grins, watching Guard 5. "That's not how you get a spell ready...". So saying, she raises her hands, the corona of red getting brighter as she concentrates. >> Guard 4's action! Combo attacks Nathan. One hit misses; other lands...10 damage! * Nathan oofs, but continues his preparations * Mikari swears under her breath as she comes up short of stopping the guard. >> Lily's action. She darts toward Guard 1 and combo attacks him! Two hits. 9 damage...5 damage! >> Feray's action! * Cassidy glances at Guard #2.. * Oh, so you want some too, huh? * Feray rushes at the fifth guard, her sword slashing across his body! >> Feray attacks! Both hits land. 19 damage...19 damage! * Feray swiftly retreats back to the group and winks at the injured guard. >> Mikari's action! * Mikari throws her grappling whip out to tether the guard's face!! "Hey boy... you forgot somethin'." ^_^ She then reels him in to kick him square in the back with the heel of her boot! >> Mikari critical attacks Guard 4. 13 damage! * Feray rubs her face a little and furrows her brow, readying herself for the first guard's incoming attack. >> Guard 5's action! Casts Crackle on Erellisae. 13 damage! * Erellisae doesn't stop in her concentration as the spell hits her, grinning slightly at the guard as she shrugs the effects of the spell off. >> Guard 1's action! Executes Katana Slash on Feray...41 damage! * Feray wideyes a little and grunts. Ack...Feray! O_o Dang! * Feray narrows her eyes as blood dribbles down from a slash across her abs. "...alright. You wanna play hardball?" >> Jalanda's action! Those that seek pain, be bound by aster chains... Freeze! * Jalanda gestures towards the enemy formation, as a northeasterly wind picks up, bringing with it a penetrating cold that chills to the bone. A thick frost begins to form upon their bodies, as one by one their attacks slow to a crawl... >> Jalanda casts Freeze! All enemies suffer -1 MOV. * Mikari gacks as she sees a Samurai critically break their defenses. "...'Ey!! Feray, you 'lright?" Peachy. Worry if my intestines become my shoes. >> Mitsuo's action! * Dylan says in a singsong voice, flowing with the lullaby's rythym "Succour will flow from Rainbow Springs once this charm is done" The flame which blazes red, reside in me! * Mitsuo balls up a fist of burning energy, and throws it at the target. The ball expands into a latticework of red spears, igniting everything they touch as they seek to piece through the enemy! * Mikari snorts at Feray's response. "Right. I'll call a doc in 'bout then." >> Mitsuo casts Burn! on Guard 5. 43 damage! Guard 5 is done for! X_x * Mitsuo wavies, "Bye now... ;)" Nice * Feray grins weakly but continues to glare at the first guard. Thanks! We can't let our guard down yet...there's still four more! >> Dylan's action! Why th'ell is Dylan singing? O_o *is not accustomed to musical accompaniment during battle* * Dylan stops swaying, snapping to an upright position. "Noon sun, feels good. Grass smells sweet, breeze is cool. Sleep and sweet dreams!" Magic takes many forms * Dylan raises his arms and the dewdrops turn to bubbles and seek out the foes, lulling them to slumber. >> Dylan casts Snooze. Guards 2 and 4 are asleep! Hmm... this changes things.. Hmpf. The spirits aren't with me today. ....Nngh. Okay, the lullaby batle cry is a new'unn. * Jalanda recenters her focus, noticing the serious wounds inflicted upon Feray. This will not do... Half is better than none Dylan * Feray coughs softly.. She drops her hand to her pouch and assesses things. * Feray coughs again and smothers it with a hand, narrowing her eyes further at guard one. >> Guard 3's action! Blue Tidal Bullet! * Nathan compresses a sparking ball of energy in his hands, before hurling it at his target, where it explodes on impact! * Mikari gets knocked back while she is distracted! >_< "Grfk..... "Whew... that was fun." ^^; * Jalanda pulls out a strange deck from the folds of her garments with her left hand, fingering one of the arcane cards... >> Feray's declaration. * Feray takes a soft breath and draws her sword back, focusing on the slumbering 2nd guard. >> Mitsuo's declaration. * Erellisae relaxes from the fatigue of the spell, only now actually breaking the glare and looking around the battlefield to take stock of the situation. * Mitsuo balls up his hand into a fist, which begins to glow with a silverish yellow aura >> Dylan's declaration. * Dylan reaches into his bag and pulls out a bowl and a flask of water. He pours a small amount and a starts to whisk it with a stiff brush. This should fix us up a bit! Ah, thankya Dylan. >> Lily's action. * Mikari nods, then returns her focus towards charging up. Don't talk back to ME! * Lily grabs her serving tray, bringing it down on the head of Guard3 with a loud THWOK! * Erellisae yays and cheers Lily on! :D ^^ All right, Miss Lily! >> Lily executes Tray Thwok on Guard 3. 25 damage! * Feray holds an arm across her stomach, muscles twitching. >> Guard 3's declaration. An invigorating wave of light sweeps over the group, quickening their pace.. * Pitter patter, let's get at 'er! * Cassidy casts Runner! * >> Cassidy casts Runner. Heheh... mornin' sunshine! ^_^ * Mikari thrusts her grappling hook out of nowhere and wraps it around both of Guard 4's wrists...jerks so hard she flings him overhead, then smashing his back against the ground on the descent. >> Mikari executes Wrist Tangler on Guard 4. 24 damage; Guard 4 is done for! X_x >> Erellisae's declaration. * Erellisae looks around, spinning her mace in thought, before heading towards Guard 2 like a determined hummingbee. ^^; >> Guard 3's action! Combo attacks Mitsuo. 15 damage...13 damage! * Mitsuo aghs, getting slashed in the chest and stomach, "...Now that HURT!" * Nathan snarls, missing another chance to stop an attack Welcome to my world, skippy. ^^; >> Jalanda's action! * Jalanda now has her turn to stare at the third guardsman, her voice cold and hollow. "Unworthy one... stay thy hand, forevermore." * Jalanda fluidly hurls a card at Guard 3, that affixes itself mysteriously to their person, embellished with the symbol of a great fortress struck by holy lightning. The skies above rumble briefly, before a bolt of power strikes down upon the foe like its effigy, rendering them helpless and dazed for a time. >> Jalanda executes Tower on Guard 3. 21 damage; Guard 3 is done for! X_x >> Mitsuo's action! Green circles of motion, spin and attack! * Mitsuo spins around quickly, and throws out his hand. The motion kicks up a green dust devil that chases down the enemy and knocks it for a loop! ... >> Mitsuo casts Howl on Guard 2! 34 damage...Guard 2 is done for! X_x Ugh. Dammit, when're we gonna get out of this nasty habit a'gettin' hurt! *rubs the sore spot on her arm, which came from the brunt of the last attack.* * Mitsuo grins, although it's a bit laced with pain. >> Battle won! Gained 100 G, 100 EXP! * Feray chuckles and then begins to cough once more and covers her mouth again. * Nathan flicks his fingers, and the sparks die away * Cassidy quickly surveys the area.. * * Erellisae skids to a halt as the last guard falls, twirling her mace then putting it away, and rushing over to Feray. "You okay?!" ^^; * Dylan whisks faster and faster then flicks the brush into the air, the spray catching the light and arcing as a rainbow. Spirits of the Rainbow Springs! Cure our pains! * Feray drops her hand, her palm speckled with blood, and she exhales. "Yeah, Erel... Dylan is about to make it better." ^^; * Dylan is bathed in orange light as colours leap from the rainbow suffusing the others in their glow, Mikari glowing Red, Erel shining yellow, Jal robed in purple, Cas and Nathan swim in blue, Feray wrapped indigo and Lily and Mitsuo stand in a viridian aura. * Mikari grins a little. "Eh, not perfect, but not bad consid'ring the nasty approach... ^_^ Now what the 'ell're you doing here?" * Nathan sighs as the discomfort leaves him * Jalanda looks intensely to the guard she downed, troubled by something unknown. She lifts her head to see the rainbow of mist heal the others and seems to be contented in it's purple spray. * Mitsuo breathes a bit easier. Thanks Dylan Thanks, Dyl. ^^ * Dylan yawns, and stretches. Anymore of those guys trying anything? Let's hope not * Dylan looks around >> Dylan casts Alheal. Everyone regains 36 HP! * Feray nods to Dyl and reaches down to touch her healed stomach. "Hey, not even a scar to brag to my drinking buddies at home about." I hope not...we should finish our buisness here then go. Ahhh.... better. * Erellisae phews as the healing spell works, collapsing slightly to sit next to Feray, and taking out and staring at the Medallion Jalanda gave her. The guards lie unconscious on the ground; the samurai around them mutter to each other. From the stairs beyond the gaping hole, they can hear shouts and the sound of booted feet. Apparently reinforcements are on the way.... * Nathan shakes off the ferocity of battle, and is his old self again Damn! Ooh, can we play some more? ^^; I suggest we go ...We can't keep this up forever...where's the nearest exit?! Lily shakes her head. [Lily] I wouldn't recommend it, Feray. Sounds like the police may have been alerted...we should probably get out of town. >_< * Erellisae gets to her feet, secreting the Talisman away. "Let's get out of here!", she says, turning to the head of the samurai. "Know anywhere we can go?" * Jalanda levels an even stare at the mess of the room... Jalanda spies a very, very faint green glow from the wreckage of the cellar/workshop. Methinks the naitives are riled up ^_- Unfortunately, exile is the way this shall end in. But there is yet... truth. * Jalanda does her best to quickly rifle through the wreckage and unearth the glow before they are beset upon. * Feray exhales softly to herself and glances at the others before sheathing her sword.. Whatcha got there Jal? * Mitsuo taps his foot. ^^; Jalanda finds herself holding a small, green stone shard. * Mikari nods and purses her lips, looking about the debris-filled room... The samurai are beginning to exit, rather quickly, into the night. ^^; * Dylan cracks his knuckles impatiently. Less haste, more speed. But more walking, more distance. You know.. this standing around here like lamp posts thing probably isn't the wisest of plans. * Mikari makes a dismissing gesture with her hand at them. "Pshh." ^_~ * Mitsuo shakes his head and goes out the way of the sammurai, to any one of the exits, "C'mon!" Which direction is the fastest way out of town? * Jalanda whispers. "A question. an answer. Perhaps neither." She hides it in her robe sleeve for now. "There is nothing left for us here now. Go, quickly." * Dylan takes a last look around the room and starts to follow Mitsuo * Erellisae blinks, then whines a little, looking between the groups and calling after the samurai, hurrying with Mitsuo. "W-wait..! You didn't tell me everything yet!" Lily is by the door, nervously bouncing on her toes. [Lily] Um, out? Now? Please? * Mikari nods. "I'll second that, Cassy. So, where're we goin', or should we discuss 'at on the way out?" * Nathan shrugs, and starts grabbing people On the way out! ^^; Let's go folks, tour's over * Cassidy points down a path. * This way'll do for now. If it goes bad, we can always turn around. * Feray heads out quickly behind the others. * Cassidy sets off. * Lily exits, running after the samurai, who are splitting up in the streets. Soon she catches up with Hono, Rashida, and Tikeno, however. Reluctantly, they slow for her. * Mikari has no arguments with that and darts over to Lily as she starts out the exit. * Nathan hastens after the group * Mitsuo runs as fast as he can! * Jalanda retreats through the common exit, burning the map images into her mind for further reflection. but for now, haste... ^^ * Erellisae follows after Lily, trying to catch up with the samurai but keeping a watchful eye on Mitsuo. "W-where are we going?" [Tikeno] We are headed home before we are discovered. However, unless you have a particular reason to stay, it may be best if you left town. ^^; Where are you staying? The Silver Wheel * Mitsuo nods. * Nathan keeps an eye out for the night watchmen Anyone leave anything important behind at the inn? Or can we just blow this popsicle stand right now? But... [Tikeno] We will help you get your things and exit the city then; it is the least we can do. *Switching directions, the samurai head down a brightly lit, fairly empty street, heading for the inn.* No time Erel. We'll have to puzzle that out as we go [Rashida] We will talk while you pack, little one... * Dylan follows, still a little puzzled as to what the hell is happening Let's get the heck out of dodge... ^^; * Erellisae nods, looking a little down but shrugging it off and following after the others, keeping a hand tightly on the talisman. I'm fine. Never leave anythin' important behind; 'sall on me.... * Mitsuo runs with everyone, intent on getting out of town. Before long they reach the inn. The hallway is deserted as they head up the stairs, the samurai surprisingly quiet for such big men. Lily leads the way to their rooms... * Nathan quickly retireves his few belongings * Dylan scoops up stuff into his bags and slings them over his shoulder * Erellisae grabs her pack, hefting it on her back quickly. :/ Lily throws her things quickly into a pack, while the men stand by, waiting. Tikeno turns to Erellisae. [Tikeno] I'm sorry, but your questions will have to be quick... * Mitsuo stuffs everything hurriedly into his backpack. * Cassidy snatches up her backpack, then goes to watch at the inn's door.. * * Jalanda does her best to keep up, taking a moment in the doorway to catch her breath, an eye out for those who might have followed their trail. * Nathan hops quietly down the stairs and waits for the others * Mitsuo heads downstairs. * Erellisae moves closer, whispering for the others not to hear. "Just... who's trying to stop Gaia? And what'm I meant to do with the church after me...?" * Feray grabs her pack and trots downstairs as well. * Mikari shrugs and grabs a handful of things she would have left behind... a pouch with some spices, spare change (usually useless being so noisy), and a few small packages with extra food rations... [Tikeno] We aren't entirely sure. All we know is that the Icarian Temple is attempting to prepare for the possibility, though there may well be other groups and individuals who share their beliefs. * Jalanda extricates her alabaster hand from her purple robe, looking down at the glowing green shard resting in the slender palm. "...just where do you fit..." * Mikari finishes within a few seconds and goes out ahead into the main room to keep watch out the window. * Erellisae nods, then glances at the door. "... okay. Thanks for all the help... I think I know where to go for answers." * Dylan raises an eyebrow as Dill sniffs at the shard from Jal's hood Tikeno nods. [Tikeno] Good. I am sorry we could not do more to help, but we wish you luck. Now, if everyone is ready, I will show you the quickest way out of the city... * Mitsuo heads to Jalanda, and blinks, "You found another shard?" No eating that, Dill. Dill feels all tingly after sniffing the shard. * Erellisae nods, looking around. "Let's go..." :/ * Jalanda raises her head. "It would appear so." Don't worry, Ms. Erellisae, as long as we keep searching for answers, they should be found soon enough. Let us go before we have to fight misguided men. Least we can never claim to be unpopular. ^^; * Mitsuo blinks, and absentmindledly reaches out to touch it. Tikeno and his friends head down the stairway quietly, motioning for the others to follow. Misguided men... ugh, I've known enough'a those. * Dylan follows, trying not to clump too loudly * Cassidy looks back at the others. * * Mitsuo 's breath quickens for a moment, then draws his hand away. As they leave the inn, Lily places a hurriedly scribbled note and a pouch of coins on the front desk, then follows the others out into the night. * Mitsuo follows the others. * Erellisae follows after the group quickly, glancing at Cassidy for a moment, before looking back to make sure Mitsuo's okay. The samurai lead, quickly but silently, toward an exit to the west. * Mitsuo smiles at Erel. * Jalanda does not seem surprised somehow by Mitsuo's reaction. She mumbles quietly to herself and once again hides the stone. * Mikari follows the samurai cautiously, keeping a look out for anything suspicious going on. Despite the help, unexpected events can pop up in situations such as these... And so our brave adventurers run headlong into the night once again with civilization nipping at their heels ^_- We're the epitome of good guests ;) Of course ^_^ * Erellisae is uncharacteristically silent, remaining in thought as they travel. Let's just hope the teeth don't scratch our boot leather. There are shouts and alarms from the direction of Green Road, where they just came from, but the way ahead of them is clear. It isn't long before they've reached the west gates to the city. The samurai slow, walking nonchalantly toward the wall. Hono starts rummaging through the pocket of his "Kiss the Samurai" apron. This is beginning to become a bad habit.. * Jalanda looks to the side to see that her erstwhile puffy companion is nestled in her hood tightly for a brisk run, then departs into the night after the group... ^^ We may sow chaos and destruction inour wake, but we're tidy about it ^_- Lily chuckles. * Erellisae glances back at the city, then sighs, waving it goodbye before losing herself in thought again. * Mitsuo chuckles a bit at Nathan, "...Least we'll be remembered... ;)" True At the base of the wall, they stop. Tikeno motions for silence as Hono produces a rope. He looks at Mikari. [Hono] I don't suppose I might use your grappling hook? * Feray snorts softly and trots along, her expression solemn for once. Did you find anything other than the shard in that room, Ms. Jalanda? There is a greater reason behind everything. Dwell not on what is behind, for the road forward still is long. * Cassidy looks slightly irritated and impatient for some reason. * * Jalanda looks to Dylan. "The spirit shard and the medallion we possess... but the maps of the lands have me wary of the next moves forces shall make." * Dylan strokes his chin. * Erellisae takes out the medallion, letting what little light there is glint off it as she traces the pattern. As always the stars lead westward... so do our lost saviors. When next we stop, describe the map, and I can try to replicate it. * Nathan elbows Feray. "What's got you down Mrs. Brown?" I don't need t'dwell on what's behind. I know what: angry people with pointy weapons. ^_^ And they can kiss my arse if they come within a mile'a me. * Jalanda nods sagely to Dylan. * Mitsuo keeps an eye out for danger. Huh? My favoritist thing ever! * Erellisae puts the medallion away, shaking out of her reverie a little, her expression still thoughtful. If that's the quickest way out I'm all for it Oh sure. It beats being trampled and impaled. ;) Let's hurry... Everyone accounted for? * Mikari watches Dylan do it without the rope, but then shrugs, thinking this is probably a MUCH better idea anyway... she consequently grabs hold of the line herself, and shimmies up it like a spider monkey, though with a little bit more dignity. In a vacant lot up ahead, there's a shape that looks like...a plane? * Dylan drags himself to the top of the wall, then turns and leans down to help Jal up, onces shes in reach. * Jalanda does a small hop that oddly graceful considering, and grabs Dylan's hand. * Feray crosses her arms and shudders a little, frowning. She shakes her head and turns to eye the shape in the distance. "Ooh. Is that what I think it is...or a really big bird?" * Erellisae relaxes upon seeing Mitsuo's okay, returning to her reflection. "Just thinking." * Jalanda ascends without difficultly, looking thankfully to the Lainian as she reaches the edge. "I will be alright... thank you." She swallows wetly. "Heal...heal, please..." Find your courage, and bring it forth! * Mitsuo claps his hands, and a thin blue line crawls along the ground towards Feray. The line curls up and around, then dissipates, taking the wounds with it. It is often best in these situations to use different healers.. I must have missed something.. I apologize, Feray. "I'm alright now. It's just something that happens occasionally." No big deal, really. .... No big deal? You're freezing! Lily snorts, showing what she thinks of that. ... * Mitsuo takes off his overcoat and drapes it around Feray. Zach yawns and taps Mikari on the shoulder. [Zach] I'll take over... * Erellisae remains silent, looking unconvinced, but alternating between looking worriedly at Feray and scanning over the land they're travelling over. * Feray droops a little under the weight, as if it's too heavy for her. Feray's color seems to improve once Jalanda casts Cure. She is still pale, but her breathing is a bit easier... * Mikari nods and skillfully climbs over Zach to his other side, leaving him to hurriedly grab the controls. I just need to sleep, alright? I'll be fine. Guess I just need to rest after that fight...the wound must've made things worse inside. We're gonna have to put down at a place with a doctor, or somethin'.. * Mitsuo nods to Cassidy. * Feray looks panicked oddly. Agreed No doctor. Indeed. This does not seem a simple problem. I'm fine. Feray, is there somethin' we should know? We'll land and find someplace safe for you to rest. We go on. * Dylan raises an eyebrow * Jalanda looks Feray in the eyes rather somberly. Hmmm...? * Mitsuo leans back in his seat, looking a bit worried. * Erellisae glances at Nathan, looking annoyed and glaring, but then looking ahead to the village with interest. Sounds good. We don't exactly have alot of supplies at the moment. * Jalanda welcomes the distraction now, attempting to get a good look at what lies ahead of the craft. It looks like a very small village. Smoke rises from a few chimneys. Not a soul is stirring in the town... [Zach] Right, down we go.... *Starts to put the plane into descent* Hmmm.... *looks around with her eyes slit* * Mitsuo phews, "Not a moment too soon..." *glances back at Feray.* * Jalanda shivers a moment. * Feray stirs at the descent of the plane. We're almost there, Feray. Rest easy. Looks safe, I s'pose... * Erellisae watches the village, looking a cross between worried and eager. ^^; ... It's quiet...what time is it? Lily glances at the stars. [Lily] About 2, perhaps? ..I'm not sure.. Zach touches down just outside the village, making a rather soft landing despite his apparent sleepiness. He turns to the others. What do you mean? * Erellisae looks around anxiously, biting her lip and closing her eyes briefly, before taking a deep breath and knocking on the door. "I'll tell you if I'm right." * Nathan steps out of the plane to keep watch, suddenly not feeling social * Jalanda gets to the ground and stares very blankly at the distant village. She seems to have not heard what Mikari said. * Feray watches Nate go and sighs softly to herself. * Mikari keeps quiet and looks around under the pretense of looking for useful elements in the village. You scared him pretty bad...I guess he's not one for secrets.... There is silence for a moment, then footsteps. The door opens a crack, and a puzzled-looking man peers out. "Yes...? What do you want?" Eh....I suppose it's better you guys experienced that now...rather than during a battle or something.. ^^; * Erellisae blinks, tensing slightly and scrutinizing the man, before relaxing slightly. "I, uh, there's a group of us that need lodgings... is there anywhere in the village we could rest?" I won't ask what causes those ...but if you feel another coming on, let me know right away, okay? * Feray nods slightly and closes her eyes again, sighing softly... * Nathan circles around the plane, keeping watch and burning off some frustration and anger * Cassidy waits silently, carefully observing the other two. * * Jalanda blinks harshly, coming to her senses a little roughly. The man blinks. "Well, no, I'm afraid we don't have an inn...we don't get too many visitors. My wife and I take occasional boarders, but that's it. What are you doing arriving so late at night, though? * Mitsuo sits in a crosslegged position, waiting for word on lodging. * Mikari crosses her arms and stares off aimlessly now. * Erellisae 's ears droop: whatever she was looking for, it doesn't seem to be here. Thanks... * Mitsuo rummages through his bag and pulls out a canteen, handing it to Feray. Here you go. ;) * Feray sits up a bit and takes a few deep gulps, as if she hasn't drank in a while. ^^ * Feray hands the canteen back... "Wonderful. You're pretty good at this..." ^^; * Mikari finally looks over her shoulder and watches what's going on with a serious face. ^^; I am? Well...my mom health isn't all that great. Grampa and I take care of her sometimes...Guess I have a little experience. :) Course, you're pretty easy to take care of! Hardly a complaint! ^_- The man nods and returns to the house to prepare the rooms, leaving the front door open for them. I don't tend to complain about my problems.. ;) ^^; Hmm...well. I wonder when the others'll get back... Hopefully soon. I so don't want to sleep in this plane. ^^; Me neither. ^^; Lily looks up, searching the road to see where Erellisae and Cassidy are ^^; * Erellisae turns to Cassidy. "We'd better get the others..." ^^; * Cassidy nods. * * Erellisae starts to walk back towards the group, a little slower than her earlier pace. * Mitsuo sees Erel approching, "Here they come!" * Jalanda falls silent, though she withdraws the shard again, raising an eyebrow to look it over in her hand. "Suffering.. so much suffering." She sighs heavily, trying to push something out of her mind with apparently conscious effort. * Mikari turns around as Erel returns. * Cassidy quietly follows.. * So.. did you see what you needed to see? So... we gonna have a bed for our patient? * Feray blinks and grins a bit, pushing herself up out of the seat... she heads to the door of the plane.. "I heard that!" ^^; * Erellisae shakes her head. "No... but I can wait a little longer." She then waves to the group. "We have a place to stay, c'mon!" Whoa, take it easy Feray! ^^; * Feray leans against the doorway and looks over her shoulder. "I'm okay...really..." ^^; You absolutely sure? ^^; Oh sure. ^^; Just tired, that's all. Don't worry, I can walk on my own. ;) Okay...just holler. ^^ * Feray pushes herself out of the plane and smiles a little, feeling better at the brush of the air. ^^ "Let's go..." Lily heads toward the lighted building... * Jalanda sees Erellisae, and quickly returns the glowing stone to the nebulous folds of her garments. * Mitsuo follows the others. * Erellisae points them towards the building, then looks around to check everyone's okay. ^^ * Dylan yawns * Feray glances about for Nate.. The night hangs heavy on our shoulders * Nathan is still standing by the plane, currently looking at the night sky * Mikari goes over to the plane and starts rummaging around the compartments for any needed supplies I would agree... I would... welcome a rest. Rest would be good. Someone should tell Nathan we've got a place to stay.. ^^; When they arrive at the little house, they find that the owners have made up beds and pallets for them. There is a bright fire in the hearth and a kettle on the stove for tea and other hot drinks... I'll tell 'im. Let's get settled for the night. (m) Egh, what'n ending. 'was otherwise fun... * Mitsuo nods in thanks to the couple. * Mikari walks over to let Nathan know; they later catch up with the others at the house. * Erellisae grabs Cassidy's arm before they enter the building, watching her with the same determined gaze/glare she wore throughout the battle. "I need to talk to you." * Cassidy blinks. * ..You do? * Erellisae nods, losing a little of the determinedness and gaining a little nervousness. "... yeah. And soon." * Feray quickly stakes out a pallet and flops onto it, laying on her back and draping an arm over her face. * Mitsuo also does likewise. Flop! Zzz. O_o Well.. anytime there's not a horde of sword-wielding maniacs who want to take our heads off chasing after us is a good time for me. * Jalanda does not make for a bed, instead leaning heavily up the nearest corner, and falling into a crosslegged position on the nearest prepared floor spot. The man and his wife retire after indicating that their guests are to help themselves to the hot water for tea. Lily thanks them and accepts a cup of cocoa, then sits in front of the fire to drink it as others head to bed. * Erellisae nods, her ears drooping as she looks around. "Now, then.
