Most are to be found in their beds, but the sun finds Erellisae and Mitsuo slumbering underneath a tree.... ^_^ * Erellisae makes a faint mrphing sound, then blinks awake suddenly. "W-whaa..!...oh. A dream." ^^; She blinks and looks around, rubbing her eyes a little. * Mitsuo sleeps, curled on his side just slightly, his breathing deep and even. * Erellisae blinks again, then looks down at herself, lifting up the blanket slightly before looking over at Mitsuo, smiling softly. "Dummy... what about yourself?" * Mitsuo makes a little noise, but doesn't wake up. ^^; * Erellisae shakes her head, lifting the blanket off her (and carefully putting the still-sleeping Syri down on it) before slowly stretching with a wince. "Defender indeed... mm... jeez, don't even remember falling asleep.." * Erellisae eyes Mitsuo again, then leans over to shake him a little. "Hey, c'mon, you, 's morning." * Mitsuo mfhs softly and opens his eyes, "Uh...wha?" * Erellisae smiles, giggling slightly. "Welcome back to reality, sleepyhead. Jeez, I'm the one who repeatedly collapses outside, not you." ^_^ Uh...oh! *He rubs his eyes and sits up, one side having a nice red mark from where his glasses pressed against his face while he slept,* I didn't mean to sleep this long...uh...you slept okay, right? * Erellisae smiles, leaning back and nodding slightly. "Apart from a crick in my back, I'm fine. Thanks for the blanket..." Oh...no problem. ^^; Didn't want you to get cold. * Erellisae grins slightly, waggling a finger. "Really! Your first night back in a village with a bed that isn't straw, and he's collapsing asleep on grass and giving other people his bedding! Hmph!" ^_~ * Mitsuo eh-hehs and looks down, "I dunno...the grass was pretty soft... ^^;" It wasn't so bad. * Erellisae mock-hmphs a little, which dissolves into a yawn. "Well... thanks anyway. Slept better than I have in such a long while..." Me too... * Mitsuo stretches a little, and stands up, "Where are we off to today?" * Erellisae shrugs slightly, with a little grin. "I'm pretty much glad to say I have no idea." ^^ "'s nice not to have to run away from a village for once..." Yeah, I need to thank the Elder if I see her again... * Erellisae 's mood darkens slightly. "We have to see if the healer can do anything for Feray, either. She's... pretty banged up." Really? :/ She's worse? * Erellisae looks down, her fingers tracing her tattoo lightly as she pauses, before speaking quietly. "She's... dying, Mitsuo, I think... I... nothing seems to be working much..." ...I didn't know she got so bad since I've been away...That tea she's drinking isn't doing much, huh? * Erellisae shakes her head, wiping away a tear. "I've been making sure she's been taking it, but..." Hey... * Mitsuo takes a few steps towards her and hugs her tightly, "It's okay...I'm sure we'll find something along the way to help her, right?" * Mitsuo doesn't sound all that sure though, his voice is sad. :/ * Erellisae nods slightly, leaning against Mitsuo a little and staring down at her tattoos. "I... I'm gonna try. I just... I just really don't want to lose her... especially now..." None of us want to lose her...We have to be there for her, now more than ever. * Erellisae nods slightly, touching her tattoo lightly and sighing deeply, then looking up, wiping her eyes a little with a wan smile. "Speaking of which, I haveta go see her. She's far too prone to skip out on medication if I don't force-feed her." ^_~ Heh! Mind some company? :) * Cassidy strolls out of the underbrush. * Good plan, Erel. I also gotta talk with Mitsuo here, so now'd be a good time. * Erellisae blinks as Cassidy pops up, then turns, looking vaguely upset and heading towards Cassidy. ^^; "Hey, I have a bone to pick with you..." * Cassidy blinks. * You do? * Mitsuo blinks, sorta surprised still how Cassidy makes these out of nowhere apperences. * Erellisae grabs Cassidy in a hug. ^^; "Why didn't you /tell/ us it was your birthday?! Now I feel all guilty not getting you anything..!" * Mitsuo looks down a bit, feeling a bit guilty that Cassidy is going to be embarrased as all heck now. ^^: * Cassidy blinks a moment. * I.. uh.. uhm.. * Cassidy hugs back? * Well.. uh.. sorry? I guess it just wasn't something I didn't think was all that important, Erel. ^^;; * Erellisae steps back and hmphs, the sight of the older-yet-shorter girl waggling her finger at Cassidy rather comical. "You better be sorry! Do it again and I'll get all upset!" * Mitsuo coughs slightly. ^^; Well... uh.. I think I only have the one birthday, so it shouldn't be much of an issue anymore. ^^; Unless you count half-birthdays. * Mitsuo coughs again. ;) * Cassidy switches her eyes over to the boy. * Sorry. ^^; * Erellisae sticks her tongue out at Mitsuo, then looks around. "Well... fair enough. I dunno how Feray'll be, and gods know me pouncing on her's probably trouble enough." ^^ Well, maybe it's time you went and found out, huh? ^^ We shouldn't be too long. :) If I have time, I'll come up and visit Feray too. * Erellisae nods and heads off the healer with a wave. "See ya, Mits, Cass." :D * Mitsuo waves back with a smile, "Seeya later, Erel!" Later, Erel. ^_^ * Mitsuo turns back to Cassidy with a bit of a quizzical expression, "So...um...what did you want to talk to me about?" ^^; * Cassidy turns back to face Mitsuo, her smile fading.. * Listen.. I'm really sorry, Mitsuo.. ...Sorry? For...? I didn't get you out.. I practically got them more angry with you when you were imprisoned. And then, when things were at their worst, I wasn't anywhere to be found.. ..I didn't want to go, Mits. I'm sorry. * Mitsuo shakes his head, "No...it's okay. If you stayed, they may have caught you too. You were smart in leaving." I don't blame you for it at all. ^^; You tried to get me out in the first place. I really appreciate that. They wouldn't have caught me.. I could have gotten you out. All the time I was gone, I was kinda worried. I hadn't known what happened. I'm glad you're okay.. ..you are okay, ..right? * Mitsuo nods a little, "Yeah...all things considered, it could have been a whole lot worse." I know it's alot of stuff that's been dumped on you the last little while.. and, well, I know I'm not much better than some stranger.. but I've had to endure similar things. * Cass smiles a bit. * Part of the job I guess.. * Cassidy draws herself up. * ..but just to let you know, you're not all alone in this. C'mon.. now that you're all big and Mr. Icarian that you're all alone? * She sniffs, still grinning. * What about Leen and Feena? Not even they're unique. Or Feena & Justin? One always had the other to turn to. Yeah...I suppose so... * Mitsuo smiles...just a little. ^^ No one's ever alone. Even when I'm on some dark mission, hundreds of miles away from anyone or anything familiar, I still have my family and friends that I'll get to return to. Your family and friends, huh? * Mitsuo nods a bit, "...I know...it's just...no one really knows what I'm feeling now...how strange everything is..." * Cassidy shrugs. * Well.. yeah. I am pretty mysterious, you know. I do have family and friends. ^^;; You need to buck up, hoist that chin high, and smile more. I don't recall ever seeing such mopey heroes when I was growing up. No...really, I'm better than I was...I know I have good friends. Well.. what we need to do is get you in the Parm Adventurer's Guild. Then you can have fans. Eh, I dunno. I don't think that Rion guy is that far away. ^^ Well.. he'll probably lose alot of standing on the rankings. I dunno how long it'll be before he ever shows up again. He'll show up soon, I bet. You can't keep an adventuer like Rion down for long. I sure envy him though. Fame, not too much fortune, but enough to get by. Pretty carefree, always optimistic. Yeah, me too. Well, maybe when things slow down a bit you and him could team up. Maybe finish tracking down that Forgotten Golden Seal of Kal'Jazzad that I heard he'd started on. * Mitsuo smiles, "I'd like that. I hope he keeps me in mind." Well, you just need to remember that he doesn't like mopey companions. So you'd better smile lots. * Cassidy grins. * Practice up on your laughing in the face of danger, and stuff. Smiles I can try...I'm not too good at laughing in the face of danger though. Gotta practice up on that! Good man. I'm pretty sure he'd like a companion like that. * Mitsuo laughs a bit, then looks around, "It's starting to get late. We should probably start looking for the others before THEY start looking for us. ^_-" Probably a good plan. ^^ * Cassidy extends her hand out. * A hand up? * Mitsuo takes the hand, and hauls himself up, "Thanks!" Yes, let's. * Mitsuo, still smiling, heads towards the commons of the village, Cassidy behind him «ooc: You guys take over from here! » * Erellisae, meanwhile, is heading towards the healer's house, keeping an eye out for any escaping-refusing-to-take-medication buff huntresses. ^^ * Feray can be seen storming out of the healer's hut, sword in hand, and heading for a small patch of trees the opposite way from where Erel is coming from. * Erellisae blinks, and calls out, "Hey! Ferayy..!", before running after her. ^^ * Feray strides for a moment longer, just exiting the village before stopping, waiting quietly for Erel. * Erellisae jogs up, smiling. "Hey, sis. Where're you going?" ^^ * Feray is staring pointedly towards a tree, not allowing Erel to see her expression quite yet. Her voice is soft, restrained. "Just to practice some swordplay." * Erellisae smiles, leaning around her a little. "Can I watch? Maybe... practice a little myself?" ^^ * Feray closes her eyes for a moment before nodding sharply. "Sure thing... I was just going to use a tree as my target...." * Erellisae nods, falling into step behind her and nattering cheerfully ^^ "What's up? How're you feeling?" * Feray attempts to keep her control, leading them to the center of a small circle of trees. She motions pointedly to her tree of choice... "I've had better days." * Feray steps away slightly from Erel, twirling her sword in a series of dips and twirls around her body.. * Erellisae steps back slightly, watching, biting her lip slightly. "...better days...?" * Feray leaps at the tree, slashing wildly! Chips of bark fly off in every which way as she lashes into the tree as if it were...someone? "Sure...not only did I lose complete control-- nnh! -- of my body...but Nathan and I had a little -- rrrgh! -- chat....in which he said he had feelings for -- grrhh! -- me! Only, hahaha..." * Feray stops slashing, leaning her palm against the chipped bark and laughing ironically, resting her forehead against it as well... * Erellisae steps back, sweatdropping slightly. ^^;; Only I told him to forget about it! * Feray clenches her hand into a fist on the bark, her voice breaking and it sounds as if she's crying now.. * Erellisae blinks, and then makes a small whimpering noise, stepping closer. "...but, Feray... why...?" Y-you know why. I've seen...I've seen love tear people apart....I've seen what it does....if I let him in, Erel....if...if I loved him and he loved me, fell deeper in love with me... ...and then I went and died.. Damnit, I can't do that to him! * Feray slams her fist against the bark sharply. * Erellisae remains silent, stepping forward and hugging Feray from behind. She remains silent a while, just hugging Feray. She's shaking slightly, and Feray can probably see a little tell-tale glow around her wrists. «ooc: Erel doesn't need a mood ring. She has mood tattoos. :D » * Feray shakes hard, feeling the sharp burn of tears on her cheeks....she inhales harshly... "I...I never....he...it's....it's not fair...." *** Cassidy is now known as Bahamut * Erellisae holds Feray tighter, and Feray can feel a couple of tears running down her spine where Erellisae is resting her head against Feray's back. When she does speak, it's soft and quiet. "... dummy... you dummy, sis..." * Feray closes her eyes tightly and drops her sword to the ground, resisting the urge to turn and run. Though she wouldn't get far with the girl latched to her. ....maybe. "N...never claimed...to be smart..." * Erellisae sniffles, and unlatches one hand to wipe her eye before going back to hugging Feray, speaking softly. "... isn't it his choice? He knows you're ill... he knows you might... m-might...--", her voice chokes slightly as she skips the word, "...so... he knows. It's up to him..." * Feray forces herself to open her eyes and turns in Erel's arms to gaze down at her with a pained look.. "It's not just about him...I...I don't want to love him and die...that's not fair...-to me-. Just like how I didn't want to like any of you...because I'm going to have to say goodbye...and....." It hurts...it hurts more than the poison inside me does... * Erellisae takes a deep breath, then shakes her head forcefully, cutting off Feray's statement with a "No!" before looking up at Feray, her eyes near-burning as she glares. "Listen to me. We are /not/ gonna let you d-die, you hear me?!" * Feray chokes a little on her tears and is unable to hold Erel's gaze, closing her eyes... "Erel...I've known...about this thing way longer than any of you...I've searched, spirits how I've searched... I....I just...don't know what...what else to do..." * Erellisae shakes her head again, dislodging some tears falling down her face, before hugging Feray tightly, burying her head into the taller girl's chest as she hiccups, holding back a ragged sob. "NO..! I'm /not/ going to accept that! I'm not... not gonna lose my sister as soon as I find her... we'll find a way, I /know/ we will..." * Feray feels a snap inside her and gives in, hugging Erel against her as if almost clinging to a life raft. She nuzzles the blonde hair furiously, mumbling.. "I want to believe... I don't want to die....." * Erellisae squeezes Feray tightly, before looking up at her again, the humming-bird determination giving way a little to something more as Erellisae looks older than normal for a moment, speaking slow and calm. "Then we'll find a way. Alright...? We'll /find/ one. I /won't/ let you die. I /promise/." * Feray stares down at Erel a moment, looking disturbingly vulnerable for a big Lainian woman. She swallows hard before nodding slowly..... "...a-alright..." * Erellisae smiles rather lopsidedly, before hugging Feray tightly again. "Don't worry, sis... I'll do everything I can not to let you down. I promise..." * Feray cracks a faint, weak smile and then pauses, her face falling... ...what about Nathan... * Erellisae blinks, looking up at Feray slowly, before smiling gently, her eyes showing just a teensy hint of mischievousness. "Don't worry. I'll go talk to him, if you want?" * Feray utters a soft laugh despite the seriousness of her emotions. "Oh jeez...that could be trouble.." * Erellisae grins lopsidedly, sniffling a little and wiping away the remnants of tears. "Hey, c'mon. Maybe it's the only way I'll get you two together." ^_~ * Feray blushes just faintly at that.. "I...well...he probably won't wanna talk to me...so...if you want to...I mean... I just....I don't want him to hate me..." * Erellisae shakes her head, smiling genuinely now. "Aww, c'mon. He's not gonna hate you, I'm sure." :D * Feray shakes her head and wipes her eyes hard with the back of a hand, snuffling just a little. "You didn't see his face..." * Erellisae hugs her tightly again, smiling wanly. "Don't /worry/, okay? I'll make him understand." ^^ * Feray nods slightly and seems to relax a little.. "Thank you, sis....I'm sorry that I freaked out on you....." * Erellisae squeezes Feray again, shaking her head. "Don't worry... you've been strong for all of us for so long... 's not fair to expect you to always be strong. Besides, you've taken care of me when I've been freaking..." * Feray gets a faint, characteristically wry smile. "Erel..?" * Erellisae blinks, and looks up. "Mm?" If you squeeze me any tighter, my loincloth'll fall off when I move cause you'll have crushed my hips. * Erellisae blinks, then sweatdrops, letting go a little. "S-sorry... ^^; ... so... no more worry, okay?" :D * Feray nods a little, her relief evident in her features. She grins just slightly. "No ma'am." * Erellisae smiles, her face lighting up as she sniffles just once more, then steps away a little, hands behind her back. "Good! We stopped the big bad guys and rescued the young impressionable butterfly-hero! Now's not the time to be all upset." ^^ * Feray watches Erel's face for a moment, contenting herself that the young girl is alright, and utters a laugh as she turns to pick up her sword.. "Speaking of butterfly fiddlers, where is the newly rescued Mitsuo?" * Erellisae shrugs a little. "I d'no. We woke up, then Cassidy came along and said she needed to speak to him." ^^ ...... * Feray pauses and then turns to Erel, her eyebrow threatening to hit the clouds. .../we/ woke up? * Erellisae blinks a little, then acks, blushing and hiding under her hair. "Um. Eep." Erel...please tell me you didn't...I mean....erk...am I going to have to break his hands? What'd you guys do? * Feray eyes Erel, her tone sounding amused but concerned. * Erellisae blinks, then looks up, looking an interesting shade of red and flailing her arms. "Aaackk...!!! Sis...! What do you mean?! ^^;;; C'mon, I gave him his birthday present then I fell asleep after talking to him! He ended up putting a blanket over me and sleeping on the grass nearby." ^^;;; * Feray exhales in -relief- and then gets a wicked grin. She reaches out to poke Erel's shoulder. "Ohh....how romantic...sleeping under the stars....aww...gee, that sounds vaguely familiar...hmm...yes...I think someone was TEASING me about such a thing a while back.." * Erellisae continues to stay interesting shades of pink. ^^;;; "Uh.. uhm... well..." Ahh...not so spritely and cute now, huh? ;) * Erellisae sticks her tongue out at Feray with a mock-hmph, still blushing brightly. "Hmph..!" ^^;; * Feray seems to pick up a lot more at the familiar teasing and reaches out to wrap an arm around Erel's shoulders lightly.. "Come on. Walk me back, I'm done hitting defenseless trees now..." * Erellisae smiles slightly, hugging Feray a little. "Good... you... kinda scared me a while." ^^;; "I'm glad you're better... But c'mon, don't I get taught a little?" :D Ohhh...right! Okay, okay...if you insist.... * Erellisae smiles. "Good... I wanna learn, if you think I can do it." ^^ Erellisae dumps her pack, rummaging through it for her dagger. ^^ Oh, I'm sure you can. After all, you're related to me...and everyone of the Lupris family can at least easily whup silly menfolk who try to hurt them.. ^_- * Feray backs off and stabs her sword into the ground, raising her fists and lowering her voice to a manly pitch. "So, yeah, baby...show me what you got!" * Erellisae nods slightly, fishing out both the dagger Feray recently gave her and the dagger she was given the night of the Icarian church's attack. She stands ready in an imitation of Feray's standard ready pose, and looks expectant. ^^ * Feray blinks a little. ....two daggers? * Erellisae blinks. "... what? It's what you use... right? I wanna... fight like you do." ^^; * Feray eyes Erel for a moment, pondering telling her no before sighing and offering a faint grin. "If I say I won't teach you two, you'll try and teach yourself anyway, won't you?" * Erellisae breaks out into a wide grin, and nods. "Of course!" :D * Feray shakes her head and chuckles, dropping her fists and heading to Erel to show her how to use two daggers instead of one.. "Alright, this is a slightly different event, then...so listen carefully, little bit, or else you might get even shorter by accident." * Erellisae nods, looking more serious all of a sudden, paying careful attention. * Feray begins to show Erel the proper form and movement of the blades, losing herself in the easy rhythm of it.. The two continue sparring as the morning sun climbs higher, breakfast time approaching.
