Session Start: Sun Jun 02 20:19:26 2002 *** GMAmy changes topic to 'Grandia: New Horizons | Chapter 31.5: Nathan and Feray | Location: Tenkala, July 12, afternoon | Lude Start' Nathan returns from his talk with Erellisae on the beach some distance to the west, entering the Tenkali village and returning the greetings of the Tenkali guards. He looks about for Feray, soon spying her outside the healer's hut... * Nathan takes a deep breath, keeping his hands behind him, and walks over to her * Feray sits outside the healer's hut in the midst of the sandy dirt, back to the wall, gazing up to the sky with her knees pulled to her chest... she doesn't notice Nate at first.. Healer's seen enough of you for one day, huh? ;) * Feray blinks and jerks a little out of her daydream, startled. She eyes Nate, a faint smile touching her lips and making her ill appearance brighten to somewhat of her normal look. "He threatened to have me thrown in the village lockup." * Nathan chuckles a bit, "Got a sec to help a friend? I seem to have lodged my foot in my mouth and I can't get it out." :) * Feray arches an eyebrow slightly at the term 'friend' and relaxes a bit more, the smile becoming playful. "Gee, and that mouth is so big, too...must be a huge foot!" Well, you know what they say about people with big feet...yep...big shoes ;) Hah! Oh right, sure...big -shoes-. .....what'd you need? Well, I wanted to say that I'm not angry at you. And to be honest, I thought you'd be mad at me * Feray furrows her brow and realizes that Erel must've gotten to Nate finally. She looks at her knees and fiddles a little with her hands. "Oh please. I'm not angry at you, I was the one who was so harsh about it...you should be pissed at me!" Maybe, but I was the one who got all weird on you, remember? Aw...it...it wasn't...weird...I just...uh.. * Feray grimaces, struggling to find the words. * Nathan scratches the back of his head, fumbling for what to say next Anyways, I wanted to let you know that there were no hard feelings, so I decided to bring you something * Feray lifts her eyes again, looking surprised. "You brought me something?" * Nathan walks over to Feray and bends down a bit, offering her the daffodil he kept behind his back A peace offering, for a beautiful lady :) * Feray stares at it for a moment and her ears slowwwwwlllyy back, her face turning a soft red. She stares some more. Her mouth opens, works quietly, and then closes. She reaches out to accept the daffodil. "I...wow...that's so sweet..." I just wanted to tell you that I still do love you. And I would do anything for you. But if you don't feel the same way, that's all right. I still have you as a friend, and that makes me happy * Feray stares up at Nate now, grasping the daffodil as if she's afraid she'll break it. She quickly uncurls and stands to throw her arms around Nate's neck, hugging him voraciously! * Nathan blinks and freezes, not quite expecting this o_O * Erellisae watches the pair quietly, peeking out from around the edge of a nearby hut. She giggles quietly to herself, smiling lopsidedly but warmly, then disappears back round the building before she's found. ^^ Feray? * Feray blinks and realizes with a start what she's doing. She draws back and looks meek. "Yeah?" * Nathan looks at Feray, realizing just how pretty her eyes are, and smiles at her You're welcome :) * Feray grins like someone gave her the best present ever, a moment of girlish whimsy taking over her as she tucks the daffodil behind an elongated ear. She winks and backs off slightly. "So now I need to return the favor somehow!" Hey now, I didn't do that expecting something in return yanno. I just wanted to make you happy :) Well...you did...and.....damn.. ^^; * Feray coughs a little into her hand and flushes a bit more. "Thank you." I like to see you smile ^_^ * Feray gazes at her feet for a moment before casting Nate a wry grin. "So...would you like to take me for a walk, sailor, or am I just some shoreside fling that you need to move on past so you can visit your bevvy of beautiful concubines?" * Nathan offers Feray his arm, "If the lady will accept my offer, I will gladly do all I can to please her." Ooh! Don't say that...it'd involve chocolates, big fluffy satin pillows, a back rub and soothing music. And I don't quite think the Tenkali have much in way of big fluffy satin pillows. ^_- * Feray accepts the arm and tugs herself closer to the merman, blushing still. Then we'll find something else ^_^ * Nathan leads Feray through the village and down towards the beach * Feray raises an eyebrow as Nate leads her towards the shore... "This reminds me....do you want to punch Jake in the face as much as I do?" Maybe a little, but only if he hits on you against your will and won't stop ;) * Feray looks pleasantly amused at that and then chuckles a little. "He reminds me of Emmitt. All smooth and charming. Ugh. I can't stand anyone that greasy!" Well, you won't have to put up with him indefinitely. And if he gets too far out of hand I can always drown 'im ;) Oh jeez. Yeah, that'd go over well...of course, it'd be cute to see Dylan trying to give him mouth to mouth or something. ;) People might pay money to see that yanno ;) * Feray wrinkles her nose and stares out at the sea as it comes into clearer view. "Yeah....or pay money NOT to see it!" That's also possible ^_^ * Feray pauses in her walking, tugging Nate to a stop as well. * Nathan stops, and looks at her I'm just trying to imagine what it was like to grow up out there....under there....it felt odd to be underneath water, to be able to breathe correctly...I mean, it was cool...but... Is it odd for you to be up above? Like it was for us underneath? Its very different here. Everything's so bright, and warmer. Plus being only to move around in 2 dimensions is a bit awkward at times Not to mention it's a lot drier ;) * Feray snorts softly and slips her arm free from Nate's, stepping towards the water.. "Yeah...I'm surprised you haven't flaked away yet, all dried out and fishy-like..." But honestly, it isn't so bad. I've seen some amazing things, and I've met some wonderful people Aw, shucks! Careful, I think I've reached my blush limit for the year! ^_- Heh, I'll try to work on that * Feray keeps going until the tip of the water sloshes over her boots. She arches an eyebrow as her boots make amusing squelching noises before flopping down onto her butt, tugging them off. * Nathan follows Feray out to the water's edge, watching her * Feray tugs a little at her loincloth before chuckling. "I'm doubting I should introduce you to skinny dipping. So....wanna race?" * Feray stands and brushes the sand off her legs slightly. What kind of race? * Feray jabs a finger at a decent sized rock jutting upwards a good swim from the shore. "Me versus you, of course. Unless you're scared." * Feray waggles an eyebrow at Nate. Just who do you think yer talkin' to? ;) * Nathan slips out of his boots and heavier garments, and walks over next to Feray * Feray pauses a moment before shaking her head, gazing at the rock determinedly. "Alright....on the count of three..." * Nathan gets ready to go, "On three then." ^_^ One......two....fuhh-- * Feray rushes off before finishing! * Feray leaps into the water, getting a headstart! ;) * Nathan surges forward into the surf, laughing, chasing after Feray! * Feray swims easily, her well muscled and slender form streaking through the waves as she makes her way towards the stone...though she lacks the natural ease of Nate. ^_- * Nathan pushes as hard as he can, and while he loves that woman, he's not about to let her walk all over his pride ;) * Feray falters slightly in the home stretch and utters an annoyed noise as Nate glides past her. She reaches out to grab at his foot! ^_- * Nathan sputters, and flails, trying to gethis rhythm back * Feray pulls herself forcibly up using the merman's foot but gets water in her mouth, choking a little and stopping to blearily watch Nate finish first even despite her cheating. "G...gah!" * Nathan flops out on the shore, breathing somewhat heavily, and glares at Feray goodnaturedly ;) I suppose I should have asked if we using the bar brawl rules of swimming ;) * Feray treads water and jerks her head, flipping her blue hair back so it's not in her face. She rubs her eyes with one hand, laughing breathlessly as she paddles towards the rock. "Are you implying something?" * Nathan gets up and helps Feray back up onto the rock, "That I need to be very careful around you. You are a most aggressive competitor." ;) * Feray is dragged up onto the rock and sputters at how easily Nate lifts her up. She blushes and flops wetly onto the stone. "Careful? Aggressive? Make me sound like a beast! I just like to win! ....all the time." So I noticed. I think I missed when you said 'three' back at the start. I must have been distracted by something ;) Yeah, I know....I can't help that I'm utterly distracting in my beauty...but I forgive you! You're too kind * Nathan lies back on the rock and laughs * Feray rolls onto her back and stares at the clouds. "Wow." Hm? * Feray points upwards at a cloud. "It's shaped like a butterfly. Mitsuo would be pleased. Or annoyed." I think he's getting irked at the Butterfly references. We could always call him a moth instead. Maybe he won't mind that ;) * Nathan closes his eyes and lets the sun warm him for a while * Feray snorts and feels exhaustion begin to creep into her bones at the feeling of sunlight on her skin. "Ughn. We have a problem." Huh? Wasat? I'm not sure you're going to be able to pry me off this rock for a while. It's warm and making me sleepy. * Nathan leans over and gazes at Feray for a bit. "We can always wait for you to get your strength back. I'm not in any hurry. Are you?" * Feray closes her eyes halfway and stretches before placing her arms behind her head... "Mmm....nope....none at all..." Then I don't see any problem at all ^_^ * Nathan leans back against the rock, watching the clouds drift by * Feray closes her eyes fully and exhales softly, one last mumble breaking the comfortable silence. "If I fall asleep, you better not wake me by shoving me into the coean...I can still bend you into a pretzel, Mr. Crabman.." I know.
