"I... I just wanted to say I'm sorry..." * Mitsuo's face softens a little, "...Erel...I...I mean, I know you did it to save Feray..." * Erellisae moves closer, shaking her head, rubbing at her eyes a little. "But... still, I mean... you've never... turned away... I'm so sorry..." ...Erel...It's okay...I...I was just really worried... I...sort of wish you trusted me...and all of us, to help you...did Emmitt hurt you? * Erellisae is visibly shaking. o_O "N-no, he didn't... but... but..." * Mitsuo takes a step closer, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder, "But...?" * Erellisae sobs slightly, moving forward and hugging Mitsuo, resting her head on his shoulder as she jerks twice with more sobs. "I w-was so scared... s-so scared of losing Feray and then we nearly d-did... o-oh spirits, Mitsuo, I'm s-sorry..." * Mitsuo looks startled for a moment, not used to being hugged in such a matter. But then he looks sad, and hugs Erellisae gently, "Shh...It's okay....She's fine...everyone's fine. You were brave...really brave...." Don't be sorry....you saved her. In the end, you're the best sister she could ever have. * Erellisae shakes her head slightly, burying her face in Mitsuo's shoulder and tightening the hug slightly, dampness from tears spreading across Mitsuo's tunic shoulder a little. "B-but... I didn't mean to hurt you too... I-I just... he said no-one following, I wasn't b-brave, just did... did what I had to..." I know...I was sort of being a dork too. But...I guess I was just afraid that Emmitt was going to betray you...and you'd be even more hurt... * Erellisae barks a sort of half-laugh, before looking up at Mitsuo with teary eyes with a faint giggle. "I believe my words to him were 'Try it and I'll lobotomize you.'" ^^; ^_- Well, yeah, Nathan sort of pointed that out to me after you left. I guess I'm sorry I didn't trust you enough to take care of yourself... * Erellisae lets out a shaky breath slowly. She's not shaking so much, but still trembling as she shakes her head. "It's okay... y-you were just looking out for me, right?" Yeah...I just didn't want to see you hurt. * Erellisae snifs slightly, smiling a little, and breaks her half of the hug just long enough to wipe her eyes again before re-wrapping her arms around Mitsuo and resting her head on his shoulder again. "You... ought to know what happened... he didn't hurt me, he took me out for dinner is all... then... kissed me, and suggested I should stay with him." He kissed you...and... * Erellisae nods slowly, sniffling. "And I nearly blasted him across the village for that." ^^; * Mitsuo laughs a little, "I was just going to ask if you did..." ^^ * Erellisae hugs Mitsuo tightly again, sobbing once more. "I-I was so scared... but I can't bring myself to hate him...! He looked so... so /lonely/..." ...Lonely? O_o But he seems to have every girl on his shoulder...all the kids seem enraptured with him.... * Erellisae nods, looking up. "As he gave me the vial, he seemed... defeated. Slumped. It's the only way I can describe it... I reckon he knows Feray was the best thing he ever had." Maybe he'll change...become a better person... * Erellisae shrugs slightly, with a wan smile. "Well, maybe. After I've dumped him into the sea, you've blasted him a couple times, and Feray's sliced him up?" ^^;; Oh, sure! ;) * Mitsuo laughs a little, "Or we can hope he changes based on both your example and Feray's..." * Erellisae falls silent for a while, just hugging Mitsuo, her face buried in Mitsuo's shoulder. "... Mitsuo... thank you..." Thank you...? O_o I...er...you're welcome...but...why? * Erellisae looks off to one side at the sunrise, her voice getting a little wistful. "I... really needed the hug... so much has happened, and it's been so hard to take it in... then Feray... well..." Yeah...But everything turned out okay... You WERE brave. Don't doubt that. * Erellisae shakes her head slightly. "I didn't feel it... felt like a scared little girl... I... haveta get worthy of these--", she indicates her tattoos with a tilt of her head, "--... and... just everything got too much for me... nearly losing the two people closest to me so quickly..." Two closest? * Erellisae giggles softly, turning to look up at Mitsuo with a slightly wry smile. "Oh, c'mon, don't be a dummy, you. Two closest. My sister, and my personal, cheer-me-up-whenever-I'm-down butterfly." ^_~ * Mitsuo flails once again, "No! Not a butterfly! ^^;" * Erellisae laughs happily for the first time, not a jolting sob or a half bark, before grinning happily up at Mitsuo. "Oh, c'mon, you know I don't mean it!" She calms, resting her head against Mitsuo's shoulder to stare at the sunrise again. "Besides... I don't nearly break down in /anyone/'s arms..." * Mitsuo blinks a bit to that, not knowing quite what to say about that, "...Well, um...that's good! Er...um... ^^; I mean...I'm glad my arms are good for..." * Mitsuo sweatdrops and shuts up... ^^; * Erellisae smiles softly, closing her eyes. "'s true, though... you've always helped me out when I've needed it... 'Guardian', huh? I still remember you getting that pendant... our first talk back in Sult..." Yeah...the pendant said 'Defender'...I don't feel all that defendery...I just do it because I care about my friends... * Erellisae eyes Mitsuo, smiling wryly. "Somewhat like, say, being brave while feeling like a scared little girl? Either way... thanks. I don't know what I'd have done without you around to help me out... so thanks." You're welcome... Besides, it's not like you haven't done the same for me. A lot, actually. * Erellisae grins. "/Someone/ has to do something when you give yourself up to the bad guys!" ^_~ But there were at least two hundred of those guys! They were gonna clobber you all! ^^; * Erellisae giggles. "We coulda taken them!" ^_~ "... thanks for the hug, too... I really, really needed it..." Well...uh... * Mitsuo blushes just a little, "If things get rough, never ever feel that you can't talk to me..." * Erellisae moves back a little, out of the hug, taking Mitsuo's hands in hers and smiling softly up at him. "Nothing's proved that more than the last couple of months... thanks, Mits." She smiles, looking off into the distance again as a thought strikes her. "Hey... remember the end of that first talk?" I do, a little. Why? * Erellisae cuts Mitsuo off by closing the distance between them and kissing him softly on the lips, before suddenly breaking away with a large smile on her face. "Thanks again, Mits." :D She turns, with a wink and a smile, and runs back to the healer's hut, humming happily. ^_^ * Mitsuo wideyes, and in classic Mitsuoesqueness falls on his ass. * Mitsuo blinks several times as he watches Erel's retreating form. Huh--wha....blugh...? O_o The fading night and the glow of dawn close about Mitsuo as Erellisae heads for the healer's.
