She feels extremely tired, and her head aches as if she'd been beaten over the head with Dylan, but she feels suprisingly good aside from that. Opening her eyes, she sees that she is lying in a private room in the healer's hall. * Erellisae is curled up, laying next to Feray on the bed, both her hands clasped around one of Feray's as she snoozes fitfully. Her eyes seem a little red, but she's sleeping contentedly. * Feray squints down at the girl by her side and grimaces at the pain arcing through her temples. She turns her head to gaze at a pitcher of water on a tabletop across the room. She swallows hard, feeling extremely thirsty, and attempts to free herself from Erel's grip to go get the water....without waking the girl. * Erellisae jumps slightly with a faint yelp, suddenly hugging herself closer to Feray's arm in her sleep. "Mmhhnn..." * Feray frowns down at Erel, casting another desire filled look towards the pitcher. She raises her free arm weakly, watching it tremble, and wiggles her fingers at the pitcher. Her voice is low, she's speaking to herself out loud. "Come, pitcher. You will obey my fierce mental powers." * Erellisae twitches slightly again, before emitting a low 'mmnnh' of wakefulness. She cracks open an eye slowly, blinking at Feray as her muddled mind sorts itself into wakefulness, mimicing Feray in her dazedness. "...wh... wha'we doin'?" * Feray frowns further as she realizes she awoke Erel with her stupid playing around and drops her arm quickly down. "Ah, uhm...nothing. I was just....bored." * Erellisae continues motioning towards the pitcher, her brain taking a while to catch up. "..ohh... 'k..." * Erellisae blinks, then wideeyes suddenly, hugging Feray tightly and starting to babble. "Oh, spirits...! You're really alive... thank Alent, thank spirits..." Ack! Ack ack ack! * Erellisae lets go after a while, pulling back to watch Feray, her smile wide and happy. "You're back..." * Feray blinks tiredly at Erel. "Of course I am. Where would I go? You guys said a bunch of things to me...I can barely remember....what happened, again?" * Erellisae blinks, then opens her mouth, then closes it. "... uhm. I'll... get you that glass of water first." ^^; She gets up rather quickly, making her way round the bed to the pitcher. * Feray furrows her brow at Erellisae and scowls, shifting as if she's about to attempt to get out of the cot. She even goes so far as to swing her legs over the edge. "Pah. I can get it mys--..." * Feray trails off as moving so dramatically makes her dizzy. ...guh. * Erellisae sweatdrops, carrying the pitcher nearby and pouring a glass of water for the huntress before gently but firmly helping guide her back on the bed. "Hang on, hang on... lemme explain..." ^^; * Feray grunts before relaxing and allowing herself to be babied. For now. She snuggles down into the cot....her tone is wry and she casts Erel a dopey look. "Alright..." * Erellisae proffers Feray the glass, before sitting next to her on the bed. "Well... bear with me. Yesterday was... uh, kinda hectic." ^^; * Feray accepts the glass and seems overjoyed as she drinks from it, even going so far as to sigh with pleasure. "Ohhhh yeah." * Feray flushes slightly and places the glass down quickly. "I mean...yes, go ahead!" * Erellisae shuffles her feet slightly, looking down at the floor. "Well... uhm... y'see... yesterday, the Reaper's Scourge... kinda won. For a while." ^^; * Feray pauses and then settles back on her pillows, her expression shuttered. ".......oh." * Erellisae gulps slightly, looking at the floor. "And... and... you pretty much trashed a room at the inn, and did a pretty good job on yourself, too... we didn't know what to do, but the healer mentioned someone might have the cure..." * Feray quietly reaches up to touch the tattered, uneven remains of her hair, her expression cracking slightly. * Erellisae smiles warmly all of a sudden, looking up at Feray. "And, well... take a look at the old wound to see what happened." ^^ * Feray blinks away the mist from her eyes, a million questions on her mind before she looks at her tattooed wrist...she blinks some more... .... ....? * Feray looks at Erel and her tone is full of shock and surprise, an eyebrow threatening to hit the ceiling. "....it's gone." * Erellisae smiles warmly, hugging Feray slightly. "I told you, didn't I? I promised you we'd find the cure." * Feray utters a warm laugh and ruffles Erel's hair slightly with a hand, hugging her back. "Yeah. I should've known you would come through for me...geez, little bit.....I should've known!" * Erellisae acks, looking down as her hair gets ruffles before grinning up at Feray. "No more icky tea! No more coughs or seizures!" ^_~ * Feray grins now, some of her color coming back. "No more damned healers chasing after me!" * Erellisae waggles an admonishing finger at Feray, pixie-gleam in her eyes. "No more dithering about how you're gonna die! More hugs with Nathan!" ^_~ * Feray slumps back at that, her grin faltering a little. She crosses her arms over her chest, the eyebrow still perked. "More hugs with Nathan, huh?" * Erellisae grins lopsidedly but sure of herself, her eyes shining slightly. "You're alive. You're not gonna die. You can do whatever you wanna." ^^ Hmm....well.....how about if I wanted to become a holy woman and devote myself to the order, abstaining from all traces of romantic interest? ^_- * Erellisae blinks, then blinks again, her eyes misting over with the mental image. >_o "Um..." She shakes her head slightly, recovering, and fixing Feray with a mock-indignant stare. "I'd follow you, dragging Nathan along with me!" :D * Feray snorts softly and rubs her eyes with the back of her hand. "Oh jeez. Yeah, I bet he'd enjoy that....all those uptight women in those scary plain outfits....ugh." * Erellisae giggles slightly. "He'd turn crab man and scare them all." She 'clacks' her fingers in imitation, baring her teeth. ^_~ * Feray shakes her head furiously and grimaces as the uneven hair slaps her in the nose. She sneezes! Ugh...littlebit...give me a hand here for a moment? * Erellisae blinks, nodding and getting up to grab a cloth, tossing it to the woman. "Need anything else?" :D * Feray gets a cloth in the face, her reflexes slow. She snrrks in amusement as the cloth slides off slowly. ......yes please. Could you...uh...well.. * Feray motions to her hair. "....fix this?" * Erellisae blinks, taken aback, before nodding. "Well... I can't guarantee I'll be able to do so well, but I can probably even it up." ^^; * Feray nods slightly and slides forward on the bed, grabbing the cloth and wiping her face with it, sighing tiredly. "Thanks, sis. ...so tell me...who had the cure?" * Erellisae potters around gently for something to cut Feray's hair with, keeping her back to Feray and mumbling a low answer. ^^;; * Feray pauses and drops the cloth into her lap, resting a chin in a hand as she watches Erel in tired amusement. "What was that you said? You're mumbling..." * Erellisae bites her lip slightly as she turns back to Feray, keeping a pair of crude but usable scissors /well/ behind her back for now. "Uhm... well... (little voice) Emmitt did..." * Feray freezes, her smile slipping from her face. Warmth fades from her eyes very, very quickly. ....Emmitt? * Erellisae veery slowly sits down on the bed, hiding under her hair. "Um... yeah." ^^; * Feray pauses, quiet for a moment, before she clears her throat...you can see the muscles of her body flexing quickly as if she's controlling herself. ".......huh. How...odd. He wouldn't just hand it over." * Erellisae hesitates a little, before nodding, still biting her lip and looking more anxious still. "Uhm... yeah... indeed, he didn't..." ^^; * Erellisae shrinks back slightly, looking a little smaller. ^^; ....why am I getting the sensation I'm not going to enjoy the answer to my next question? * Erellisae sweatdrops. "Uhm... cuz the sun is shining and you're alive and happy shiny bunnies and goodness and light?" ^^;;; * Feray snorts again and turns slightly to eye the smaller girl. "What did he want?" * Erellisae tenses up slightly, then sighs, really hiding under her hair now. "Just don't get mad, okay? You need to rest up. Promise me you won't try to jump outta bed and go strangle him." Mmph. Definitely getting the 'eek!' vibes from this, littlebit. * Erellisae looks up at Feray, looking seriously worried. "I want the promise. C'mon, I nearly lost you last night... I don't want you hurting yourself more." * Feray gazes at Erel for a moment, some of the warmth returning to her eyes. She nods just slightly. "Alright. I promise." * Erellisae smiles softly, before hiding under her hair again. ^^; "He... wanted a date." * Feray stares at Erel, her body going ramrod straight. She scowls darkly and quickly turns, jerking herself OFF the bed and onto her feet with one smooth movement. "Why that little... I'm going to cut off his head and stuff it...he's going to...!!!" * Feray wideyes and falls over with a squeak. Gack! * Erellisae sighs slightly, shaking her head with a wry smile as she helps Feray back to a lying position. "I /warned/ you..." ^^; * Feray grunts in annoyance as Erel helps her again. She sighs heavily and settles back once more, eyeing Erel for a moment. * Feray shakes her head slowly and reaches out to touch Erel's chin, lifting it to meet her eyes. Are you okay? * Erellisae turns serious, nodding and holding her arms out. "Look. I'm still me. I'm not hurt, I'm okay. I went on the date, and at the end he... gave me the cure." * Feray scowls again. "What'd he do to you? It's not that easy with Emmitt. Everything is give and take with him. What'd he do? If he...if he...I'll beat him with his legs after I rip them off, I swear it!" * Erellisae sighs slightly, her eyes wavering. "He... kissed me. At the end of the date. But that was all. And believe me, for that alone he's gonna pay, and I have first dibs. But I'm okay. I promise." * Feray gazes at Erel for a moment before her anger fades and she sighs, pushing herself up to grab Erel into a tight hug. "........thank you." * Erellisae relaxes into the hug, holding Feray close and shaking her head. "Of course... I'd do /anything/ rather than lose you, sis..." * Feray grunts softly and even laughs a little. "Apparently. You're really brave, you know that?" * Erellisae chuckles slightly, and sweatdrops, shaking her head again. "Mitsuo said that too last night... I wasn't brave, I was scared to death... but I /had/ to do it..." * Feray pauses a little and chuckles, leaning forward now to let Erel get behind her again... "That's bravery of another kind. What matters is you did it. I'm not so sure many people would do the same in your shoes, Erel. ....and what exactly does Mitsuo think of all of it?" * Feray's tone takes a playful turn. * Erellisae shifts around behind Feray, working to untangle her hair a little. "... uhm... well... he was... rather upset at first..." Mmhmmmmmm... *amused noise* * Erellisae starts to even up Feray's hair slightly, her voice turning wistful. "And... afterwards, when I went to apologise to him, I practically broke down in a hug with him from all that'd happened..." --; * Feray raises an eyebrow, actually growling joyfully at the feeling of having her hair played with a little. "I'm sorry I wasn't much of a comfort...." * Erellisae shakes her head slightly, smiling a little and ruffling Feray's hair a little in return for all the times Feray has done it. ^_~ "It's okay... you were really out of it, you needed to rest... and he really helped. He calmed me all down." ^^; * Feray hmphs but relaxes further at the ruffling, her voice light once more. "I bet he did!" * Erellisae pauses slightly in cutting Feray's hair, hesitating. "And... uhm..." * Feray's ear twitches slightly. "And...uhm...?" * Erellisae blushes rather red, looking small. "I... may've kissed him as a thank you... maybe..." ^^;;; * Feray goes still for a moment before uttering a happy laugh. "Way to go, sis! Ha! You get that boy!" * Feray pumps a fist in the air slightly before giggling. ^^; * Erellisae is beet-red behind her, curled up small. ^^;;;; "Feraaayyy..! I wasn't 'getting' anyone! I was just thanking him... maybe..." ^^;;; Phew! Man, I hope I don't have to thank the entire group like that, then! Can you imagine if I planted a big one on Cassidy's face? * Feray collapses into giggling. ^^; * Erellisae stays silent, hiding under her hair and blushing crimson. A quick glance will confirm, however, that she's smiling happily. ^^;;;; * Feray laughs again a second time as she catches Erel's expression, turned slightly. She reaches out to tap Erel's head. "Seriously. I'm happy for you!" * Erellisae looks down at the bed for a while, still blushing, before suddenly relaxing and giggling madly. "So'm I...!" * Feray shifts back a little, swaying her hair pointedly at Erel, clasping her hands at her chest. "Ah, young love....oh to taste such a sweet emotion!" * Erellisae blinks slightly disbelievingly at Feray, before renewing her blush with a faintly wide-eyed expression and a smile before eeping and hiding under the covers. ^^;;;; * Feray arches an eyebrow and turns fully now, tugging the covers back with a hand. "Huh...when did you become a patient? A patient of loooooooovvvvvvve?" * Erellisae blinks, turning slightly more red - if that's possible the way she looks right now - and prodding Feray lightly in the side with a pixie gleam in her eye and a grin. "Hey now! I saw you two hug when Nathan gave you that present!" ^_~ * Feray looks taken aback at that and immediately shrinks back from Erel. ^^; "That was....he...uh..!" * Erellisae giggles, heading towards Feray a little. "Aw, it was so cute, then you threw your arms around him... maaaaan, I thought you guys would finally kiss..." She clasps her hands, looking off into the distance at that. ^_~ * Feray backs her ears and turns -crimson- at the mention of a kiss. She coughs into her hand, reaches out to snag a pillow from behind Erel deftly....and then bonks her on the head with it. * Erellisae falls to the bed with a giggle, sticking her tongue out. "Hmph! You were askin' for it." ^_~ * Feray grunts and looks cheerfully annoyed, reaching out to idly tickle along Erel's sides. "Yeah well, unlike you, I haven't kissed the man in my life!" * Erellisae acks, rolling away from the tickle and again sticking her tongue out at Feray. "Yet!" She turns suddenly serious, laying on her front and staring up at Feray, sounding suddenly... older. "... he was really worried about you, sis. He was crying... pretty much as much as I was. He was utterly frantic..." * Feray looks down at Erel, some of her playfulness dying off. She fidgets a little. "....he was, huh?" * Erellisae nods slightly, a soft smile on her lips. "He was scared to death of losing you... so was I, so were all of us, but still... I'd never seen him so upset..." * Feray watches Erel for a moment before looking away, towards the floorboards at the side of the bed. "Guess I had him--...all of you really worried. Maybe I knew. Maybe that's why....I....hmm.." * Erellisae smiles softly, trailing across the bed to hug Feray loosely. "You were mumbling all kinda stuff... you were sort of there, but not..." * Feray leans a little into Erel and turns her gaze back to the younger woman. "I had these really...really vivid dreams..." * Erellisae looks up at Feray. "Huh? Like what?" Well....there was one where I was in the fields outside of Leck...my field, more appropriately...and I was teaching you how to work the farming equipment that I use...and it was such a great day and you wanted to learn so badly...it was nice....a sense of home.. * Erellisae blinks up at Feray slowly, her eyes misting slightly. ^^ "Back in Leck, huh...? You realise I'm gonna drag you there sometime, right?" ^^ * Feray has a sort of longing on her features that you haven't really seen before. She smiles wistfully at Erel. "I'd like that. I miss it there, despite how much I love being with you guys....I want to know how the crops are doing, if old man Henrin has gotten better, how the baby chicks are faring..." * Erellisae smiles softly, hugging Feray again and glancing at the tattoos on her arms. "A-and I /wanna/ learn, too..." * Feray blinks a little and casts Erel a wry smile. "We've got plenty of time to teach you now, littlebit....I've got a lot to show you and teach you about our line." * Erellisae hugs Feray tightly. "Thank you... I... I've been kinda scared for a while... was... worried I wasn't gonna be worthy of being your sister..." * Feray encases Erel in a warm hug, nuzzling the moppy blonde hair fondly. She makes a soft growly noise of emotion before drawing back. "You're more than worthy. Don't ever doubt that, little sister..." * Erellisae sighs faintly, closing her eyes and exhaling weakly, before smiling faintly. "After last night... I'm starting to believe it easier." ^^ * Feray chuckles and tilts her head, gazing at the younger girl in amusement. "Good. ...I had other dreams, you know....darker ones. But I always felt...as if there was something comforting around the corner....I could almost feel you and Nathan and Mitsuo..." Everyone...it was odd.. * Erellisae giggles slightly, biting her lip with a little fang. "I might be able to explain /that/ one. I wouldn't have believed everyone would fit in here... and the three of us, well..." * Erellisae sweatdrops just slightly, but still smiling warmly. "We were praying the hardest, you might say." :D * Feray chuckles a little at that and shakes her head. "Hmph. I dreamt that Mitsuo and I were fishing on a ship...and he kept hooking himself by accident...! And then I dreamt that my dad was walking with me through a forest......" * Feray trails off at that, again looking wistful. * Feray shakes her head slightly. And then I dreamt that Nathan and I were married.... ^_- * Erellisae blinks twice, then grins widely, poking Feray's nose with a finger. "Haha! See? See?!" :D * Feray sneezes at the jabbing and scowls in good humor. "It means nothing!" * Erellisae giggles, grinning with that pixie gleam in her eyes. "Wow... Mitsuo and I just had a clumsy kiss, but you're even getting prophetic /dreams/ about Nathan...! I'm /envious/!" ^_~ * Feray snorts and wags a finger at Erel. "You're teasing me now, but that's okay... I'll get my revenge when you get your first PIERCING." ^_- * Erellisae blinks, eeping slightly but still grinning. "Heeyyy...! C'mon, no getting out of your spirits-blessed destiny!" She goes starry-eyed at this, before moving back to avoid any noogies or tickles that might come her way. ^_~ * Feray blinks at that and blushes. "You know, keep that up and I refuse to kiss the boy!" * Erellisae shuffles closer again, hugging Feray once more. "Sorry, I'm... kinda up in the sky right now. ^^; Can ya really blame me though? I saved my sister, kissed Mitsuo, /and/ I'm all geared up to hurt Emmitt!" ^_~ * Feray grunts at the mention of Emmitt before shrugging a little, her tone wry. "I suppose I could forgive you, oh tiny one." * Erellisae hugs her tightly suddenly, shaking her head. "I... didn't mean to upset you... but it was that or lose you. I had to take the chance..." * Erellisae disengages just as suddenly, shaking her head a little before looking up with an admonishing expression on her face. "Now, c'mon, you! You gotta rest up and get better, so you can endure the healers poking at you." ^_~ * Feray blinks at Erel and sighs dramatically, flopping backwards and just barely missing Erel's body. "Hmph. Don't wanna get poked at. Stupid healers." She sounds almost childish at that. * Erellisae giggles, grinning at Feray. "And no more of that horrible-smelling tea. Want me to take it and ritually burn it somewhere?" ^_~ * Feray blinks a little at that. "But...I should keep taking it, shouldn't I?" * Erellisae waves her hands vaguely. "W-well... the other thing that happened last night sorta... uhm... makes me think you've pretty much got no trace of the venom left..." ^^; Hmm... I suppose so....the rest of the mix is in my pack... * Erellisae nods, sweatdropping slightly, looking up at Feray as she stars to rummage through the pack. "...you're... not gonna ask what?" She sounds vaguely... hopeful. ^^; * Feray grunts a little and shrugs, wondering what could possibly make the girl pursue that. "Okay. What happened?" * Erellisae looks down into the pack, and pulls out the mixture, setting it on the side. "Well... uhm, you sorta--huh?" She blinks, pulling out a scroll with her name on it. "What's this?" ^^; * Feray pauses a little, something flickering over her features before she adopts a nonchalant look. "Just...uh....a letter...I was....writing?" * Erellisae blinks, curiosity overriding anything else. "Can I see?" :D * Feray blushes a little. "I'd rather you took it and read it in private, actually. But you can have it. I don't really need it now, it's a moot point.." You know, what with me being alive and all. * Erellisae blinks, turning serious. "Y... you mean it was for if you...?" Yeah. It was something of a last word. I had things I wanted to say.. * Erellisae looks down at the letter, her mouth working slightly. "A... are you sure you want me to see it, though...?" * Feray mumbles a little now. "Yeah. I think maybe you'll realize after you read it how lucky I feel. And you should know, because it's important." * Erellisae nods, cradling the scroll carefully in her hands. "... you... sis, you... did die. For a while, you were... just laying there... then Mitsuo, and the spirit stones and... and the spirits, we prayed and they saved you..." * Feray blinks and jerks a little at the words. She is quiet for a moment, letting it sink in. * Erellisae looks up, her eyes tearing just slightly, despite her smile. "I /know/ how lucky we are... were... I know how it felt to nearly lose you... if... I ever take you being there for granted... remind me of that, 'k...?" * Feray struggles to find words and nods just slightly, clearing her throat. "Well that explains a few things...I'm sorry I put you through that.." * Erellisae shakes her head, suddenly launching herself forward into a vague hug from the floor, careful not to squish the letter as she shakes her head. "Don't be, okay...? Having you here's all the repayment I need..." * Feray squeaks a little and then shakes her head as well, returning the hug gently.. "Alright....but I'm gonna be fine now, okay? I just need some sleep...time to rest...then I'll be back and stronger than ever....so no more worrying..." * Erellisae nods decisively, breaking the hug after a short while and looking much better for it. "Yeah... get some rest, okay? I'll sit outside the door and shoo away any healers or butterflies or amorous mermen that try to get in. Unless you /want/ them in..." ^_~ * Feray snorts softly at the subtle reminder and flops back onto her pillow, eyeing Erel.. "Well...you can't help it if a merman were to get in...they're slippery folk, right?" * Erellisae giggles, taking the herbal tea and the letter and standing up, brushing herself off as she moves for the door, looking back briefly with a warm smile. "If you need anything, just gimme a shout, okay? I'll come running." ^^ Alright....thanks, littlebit.... * Feray stretches once and then flops an arm casually over her eyes, relaxing slightly.. "G'nigh'..." * Erellisae opens the door with a wave, and heads out, popping her head around the door briefly. "Anytime, sis. I promise." ^^ She closes the door gently and sits down outside, unravelling the scroll and settling down with a serious expression to read.
