The seabreeze has returned, as have the gulls. After all the horror, life has once again claimed this place as its own.) (The party rests and recovers in various places along the beach, watching the sea and talking amongst themselves after their shared ordeal.) (Off to one side, Nathan sleeps on the sand, moving seldom. Feray sits nearby at the moment, keeping an eye on him from time to time as she converses with the others.) * Feray idly stretches out on the sand, watching the sky while sneaking glances at Nathan every so often, trying to seem as if she's not concerned but obviously actually worried about her hunky mancrab. She flicks her gaze back and forth, shifting, trying to seem nonchalant... * Nathan stirs a bit a last, gives a healthy yawn, and stretches his limbs * Nathan rolls onto his back and squints Ban the glowy thing * Feray pauses, watching Nathan, still quiet. She arches an eyebrow and abruptly drops a handful of sand on his stomach. Noting how pretty it sparkles in the sun, she begins to put more there. "Shhh. You're asleep. You're still dreaming. You don't feel me doing this. Go back to sleep." * Feray attempts to make the first Merman Sand Castle. * Nathan puts an arm over his eyes and chuckles I don't huh? Funny, I could swear that I'm noticing you as we speak ;) Well, of course you -notice- me. I'm too beautiful not to notice. ^_- But don't move, because I bet your hip would make a great moat siding! * Feray shifts and begins to get into it now ;) * Nathan decides to go with it for now, and lies still So how is everyone? OK I hope Oh sure. We're just peachy, what with the beating the big fish and all. Also, I don't care if it saved us, don't you -ever-. * Feray pokes Nate's belly now, disrupting the sand. -ever-. * Feray pokes again. -ever- do that again. Urf, noted. What did I do by the way? * Feray pauses and resumes molding the sand, casting Nate an amusedly gruff look. "You leapt onto that ball thing and held it down...while it began to kill you. Stupid, lovable hero man." Erm..ah...that. Eheh ^^; Master of understatement. ^_- * Nathan looks a bit sheepish at the admonishment * Feray rolls her eyes and grins wryly. "How're you feeling?" More tired that I have in a while actually Not so much physically tho I'm just kind of drained on the inside That's what you get for wrestling a big ball of negative energy that sucks the life force from whatever it touches, handsome. ;) Can you eat something? I managed to trap this really big lizard thing....the meat is pretty good for eating.. Sure * Feray squirms over Nate a bit, reaching to her pack and tugging out a saved bit of meat...she dangles it above his face. "Want me to feed it to you by hand?" ^_- Hrph, I can manage *swipes it* ;) * Feray chuckles and sits back, watching Nate. It's obvious she's a bit relieved, grinning widely. "Oh...uh...Sho-roorooroo gave me a message for you." *between bites* Mmf? He said... *pauses and adopts a tone that is like Sho's, amusingly* Tell him the merfolk will know what he did today. And that I don't understand why he betrayed his people but doing what he did, he honored them in the greatest way today. * Nathan stops in mid-chew and stares at Feray He said that? * Feray nods and tilts her head. "Yep. Also said that what you did, to him, cancels out a million betrayals." * Nathan thinks about that for a while, then grins Well, I've got one fan. Its a start. One down, a million to go ;) Aw, how can they not love you? You're the picture of cuteness and light. You know, what with the first ever Merfolk Sandcastle on your belly. ^_- I'm sure some have their reasons. Merfolk aren't much for sandcastles ;) * Feray waves a hand and juts her chin, grinning. "Their loss." * Nathan chuckles, and finishes his snack You realize of course that you guys jsut garunteed your names on the Stone of Heroes * Feray blinks a few times and then raises an eyebrow. "Stone of Heroes, huh?" Yep, the central stone of history in the deep ocean, where the names of the greatest are etched forever in honor That's kinda funny. I'm not a hero...I'm just a farmer from Leck. ^_- Someone should correct them. ;) For us merfolk, its not who you are, its what you do ;) * Feray collapses on the sand near Nathan and grins at him wryly. "Feray Lupris - Hero and Beet Farmer." What could be more honorable? ;) Carrot farming, of course! ....but hey, at least I got an apology from Sho....they should call me the Tamer of Merfolk. ;) Now THAT is an accomplishment ;) * Feray tilts her head and goes silent for a moment, smiling eventually. "So...what now, Nea'eth?" Hm? You mean as an encore or something? Kinda. Erellisae has her heart set on tracking down that reciever we heard about....and I know she's gonna bring it up eventually....any objections to going that way? No, I suppose not. Though some down time would be nice ^^; Hey, not our fault that you slept during the down time, mister. You missed the singalong around the bonfire ^_- * Nathan chuckles No, I suppose it's not * Feray reaches out to brush some hair from Nate's forehead fondly. "You should rest more, though, crabmeat. Wouldn't want you to get worn out or anything. Might need you around." I might. But if Erel wants to go, then she'll just drag us all along. You know that ;) Well, she'll just have to wait. ;) I'm the bigger sister. I can beat her up! ^_- True, and mentioning 'naked butterfly' will certainly derail her train of throught ;) .... .... .... huh? What did you say? I was too busy thinking of naked butterflies myself.. ;) Nothing, nothing ;) * Feray winks and leans closer to kiss Nate lightly before drawing back. "Rest more, you. I'll fight the others away from you!" Aw...does that mean you're staying away too? ;) Heck no. After all, every handsome man needs a sexy nurse to look after them. And really, who has more experience with healers than me? ;) I'm in the best hands then ;) * Feray arches an eyebrow and grins wickedly. "If you weren't so tired, sure. But you are tired. So sleep." ;) * Nathan chuckles, "Aww..." * Feray snuggles a bit closer and drapes an arm over Nate's stomach, smushing her castle idly. She nuzzles his hair a little and yawns a little. "C'mon, you big baby, I'll sleep too. After all, I've been running around hunting and stuff ever since the fight..." * Feray sneezes softly at some sand in her nose. * Nathan rubs a finger down Feray's nose I can't think of an better medicine right now ;) * Nathan slips an arm around Feray and kisses her forehead * Feray wrinkles her nose a bit and then blushes, mumbling. "Yeah yeah...sleep now....romance later..." Yes ma'am ;) * Feray closes her eyes and chuckles to herself tiredly, squeezing Nate slightly before relaxing. "......good boy....." * Feray idly dozes off to sleep before Nate even does.. ^^; * Nathan nestles down into the sand, and closes his eyes, feeling quite content, shoving aside an idea that pops into his mind for later (And so the two warriors rest quietly in the warm sun. The gulls above take no notice, wheeling in crying in the air around them. But for all involved, all is well again. And that is fine.) ==Lude pie is gone! Now wash them dishes!
