General layout of Runic Flux's region of the Blue Crescent

Runic Flux takes place on a world called the Blue Crescent, named for the combined shape of its island-like continents. Continents on the Blue Crescent are very small compared to what we instinctively consider a continent to be, so consequently a map of the entire crescent - not just what you see here - would resemble a complex, worldwide archipeligo. The name of whatever explorer found a way to map something such as this is long forgotten, but the name "Blue Crescent" stuck.

If you've read a little about the Blue Crescent's timeline, you may have noticed that against great odds the history of the Blue Crescent resembles that of Earth, despite their many huge differences. This is because amidst an infinite ocean of dimensions, any coincidence is possible. One of the possibilities picked out of this infinite grab bag is a world where so many similarities are shared, and yet so many differences exist in the way things work, that its reality is almost a fantasy to our world.

And one of the parts of that fantasy is the dream of time travel.

A certain region is so isolated that, to itself, it might as well be the only continental cluster on the planet (in fact, it very well may be). The peaceful central kingdom of Tristian lies on a continent in the very center of this region, where civilization consists of a handful of small, semi-modern kingdoms amidst a vast green ocean of beautiful forests and foliage. The landscape of this continent is fairly typical, since the Blue Crescent is a lush world. Or at least, it's a lush world in the present.

Welcome to the world of Runic Flux! A world where time travel is a reality, reserved to a small few to whom are revealed billions of possibilities. A world where finding fantastic diversities in magic and technology is merely a matter of what time period you're in....A world where a single person can alter entire eras!
