Many years ago, Mikari's father went to wander through the Southern Tropics of 850 A.D. He came across a peaceful village with an exotic culture that had mastered the art of living in the jungles. That is where he met Mikari's mother, and they had a daughter.

Unfortunately, her mother died young, leaving Mikari's father to care for her on his own. Rather than stay in the village, he took her on his travels, where she learned to live in or travel across just about any wilderness, as well as the art of studying the remains of ancient civilizations. Mikari has taken this to extremes, however, and seeks out only the most dangerous and profitable of ventures. Someday she may get herself into trouble, but so far she's given lady luck a run for her money...
