Intro 1: Triniti Arias Deep In Space... <GMRadien> Deep within the recesses of space, blackness permeates reality... <GMRadien> Punctured only by the glimmering light of stars millions of light years away, and more. <GMRadien> But it isn't as simple and serene as that, as you'll soon see. <GMRadien> ....Out of the blackness comes a rainbow streak, traveling faster than the light it is seen by.... <GMRadien> It comes to a stop as its pilot reaches a turning point where she will measure her new bearings. The side of the metallic ship reads the name "ZEPHYR." <GMRadien> Inside, Triniti Arias sits at the navigation console, stumbling over a galactic starchart. She is a Tetragene, largely humanoid in form... except for the telltale feature of a third eye in the middle of her forehead. * Triniti turns the starchart several directions, finally getting it face up in front of her, as her third eye looks out the front view panel. "Ok, I made a right at that nebula... and umm.. a left at this dot here... this should be it!" <GMRadien> The Tetragene runs her finger along the viewscreen until it reaches a dot that represents a planet within the solar system she is studying...it reads "EXPEL". * Triniti scratches the side of her blonde haired head where a rather large metal circlet rests in place, several cables connecting it to the ship's mainframe. "Gosh, managing this really gives me a major migraine. But it'll be worth it." ^^^ * Triniti nods to herself. "Ok, one last leg to inspiration! Blast off for Expel!" <GMRadien> The ship's interface begins talking to her... "DESTINATION SET: EXPEL - PREVIOUS NAVIGATIONAL INFORMATION UNALTERED. FINAL JUMP AT PILOT'S COMMAND." <GMRadien> The Zephyr is well-furnished, and even to the untrained eye one might know that this is a luxury ship, with comfortably upholstered seats and walls ornate with the usual Tetragene decorative flare. * Triniti glances sidelong at the computer, a little. "I said blast off didn't I? Just go already! I wanna see cousin Opera ASAP!" * Triniti grabs the controls, making a quick mental command through the interface and taking a deep breath. <GMRadien> "DEPARTURE COMMAND ACKNOWLEDGED." The computer, having displayed it's pickiness for command formalities, now responds by sending the ship streaming through space in a myriad glow of color. * Triniti gets a slight head rush akin to having your head out a car window. ^^^ <GMRadien> ...In a matter of moments, the ship slows down to speeds where it can be seen by the unaided eye, as the starchart blinks and jumbles in it's usually complicated way. <GMRadien> "SUB-LIGHT SPEED MANEUVERING ENABLED," the console informs Triniti. * Triniti glances at the chart and out the window. "Ok, ok. Gosh, you're stuffier than Alfred..." <GMRadien> "THANK YOU, USER." ...the console replies. <GMRadien> The young Tetragene takes hold of the controls that are not linked to her mental interface and prepares to pilot the ship to the surface. * Triniti nods, and completely focuses on the view, looking for the shiny happy planet. <Triniti> .o( Space is really groovy. I'm getting so many ideas already... ) <Triniti> .o( And if I'm really quick, dad won't even know I was gone! ) <GMRadien> Triniti finds the planet Expel on her viewscreen, a beautiful blue-green planet that she can immediately see is teeming with life. The ship begins to descend towards the surface, when... <GMRadien> ...a sharp CRACK is heard on the left wing. O_o The ship lurches from the impact, as rocks begin to pelt the hull, ranging in size from golf balls to basketballs. * Triniti pushes the ship forward eagerly, until she nearly gets whiplash from the impact. "Aaaack! What was that?!" <Triniti> I didn't see asteroids in the space forecast! * Triniti panics a bit, looking at the computer accusingly. <GMRadien> The voice speaks out again, still sounding as if it's bored... "METEORITE IMPACT ON LEFT WING SECTOR 22A; MINOR IMPACTS CONTACTING HULL. UNCHARTED DEBRIS FIELD UPDATED ON STARCHART. PROCEED WITH CAUTION." * Triniti grips the controls, losing a bit of her happy demeanor. "Caution it says... I'm gonna be paying for these repairs for the rest of my life." ;_; <GMRadien> Being oh-so-helpful, the console instructs Triniti to handle the problem herself through piloting finesse. The debris didn't appear to cause any fatal damage, but in any case she'll have to guide it to the ground through the orbiting hail... * Triniti calls up an overlay of the asteroids on the view and begins to swerve this way and that to avoid the larger ones. <Triniti> .o( Gosh, and I FAILED the virtual exam twice... but I can't give up when I'm so close! ) <GMRadien> Fortunately for Triniti, the debris field seems to be clearing up as she nears the surface... with a few final blows to the hull, the Zephyr clears the field as she enters the atmosphere. Flames rip past the Zephyr as per usual when entering the surface, a small space appearing between them and the hull due to the ship's heat-resistance subfunctions. * Triniti breathes a big sigh of relief... <GMRadien> The ship descends to the planet Expel, leaving it's signature rainbow stream of energy behind it as it lands..... the atmosphere parts to form a hole where Triniti enters, and she disappears into the clouds...semi-gracefully. * Triniti gives a thumbs up to her mechanical co-pilot. "Score one for artist's determination! Did you pick up anything on the way down?" <Triniti> Like maybe you-know-who? <GMRadien> The console beeps in acquiescence. "CONCERNING THE INVESTIGATIONS OF MISS OPERA VECTRA, WE HAVE A RECORD OF HER LANDING IN THIS GENERAL VICINITY. POSSIBLE TRACES OF GALACTIC-CLASS CIVILIZATION RUINS IN PLANETARY QUADRANT 4A. LIKELIHOOD THAT MISS VECTRA VISITED THESE RUINS: 79%." * Triniti turns up her nose a bit, and swerves the ship into the lower atmosphere, getting a pristine view. "Well, I'll bet that the probability of her and Ernest having fun without me is 100%! Let's go there!" ^^^
